Mar 12, 2008 Calgary Flames Eric Godard
1pd 16:17 Washington Capitals John Erskine
Comments: Mike Green hits Dustin Boyd hard into the boards and Godard returns the favor by sending Green into the wall. Brooks Laich grabs Godard but quickly lets go once Erskine skates over. Godard and Erskine drop the gloves and tie each other up. They exchange a couple of early fights. Erskine throws two rights to the back of Godard's helmet before landing a pair of jersey-jabs. Erskine throws a short right followed by another that misses the target. They simultaneously throw rights and Godard connects with a shot that stuns Erskine. Godard then lands three unanswered rights before Erskine falls to the ice. Godard follows him down and the linesmen are there to break things up.

Godard put on a fine blue collar effort

Once Godard got his balance strait he dominated this bout. No doubt, Godard wins rather easily. Props to Erskine though, the shut he took shows he has an iron jaw.

Godard with the win stunning Erskin and making him quit. Erskin got his bell rung pretty good but stayed standing. But moneybags you should check your history on the caps vs flames. Yet another victory over the flames. I think we're something like 6-0 in the most recient games against Calgary.

Good scrap...
Clear Win Godard; Erskine got stung and maybe hurt... I think its enough for the TKO, Erskine barely kept his feet after that right...

I would love to have Goddard on my team. He hands out another beatdown...although I hate the Flames.

Godard's three or four big rights at the end of the fight makes it a clear win Godard.

Looked like Erski landed a good overhand right early, but the one Godsey landed later on was definitely the one that did the most damage - Erskine was stunned and just held on from then on. Chalk up another 'W' for Mr. G!

I hate the Flames but love Godard. He owns Erskine who should have known better. Too bad Brash did'nt fight Godard later to "redeem" Erskines poor effort.

erskine started off nicely but once godard got into position he took control. tko with a heavy right hand that hurt erskine.

people on this site have gotten so stupid its amazing. you can't say it was almost a KO...because it wasn't even a TKO. i have a feeling most of the people who vote on these clips havent seen many fights ever, and probably couldnt even describe the difference between KO, and TKO. easy win for EG, but no way was that almost a KO.

Not even close. In fact, this feed sux, as the highlights I saw on Sportsnet showed the opposite angle -- Godard's face in rage, as he hammed Erskine with one right after another. Use the other feed!!!!! It was MUCH more brutal than what you are showing!!!

No chance, Godard KILLED this clown!

godard took it to erskine . might have been diffrent if erskine lands the right just before he gets nailed and everything changes south for him .
