Call it a draw. The TV analysts need a career change to something like dancing with the stars! Wahhhh!

Cole... not a fighter. Still good to see him stand up. Canes announcers are pretty clueless. I'm sure the Wild, with Boogaard, Simon, Voros, Fedoruk and Veilleux, give a damn who is in the Canes lineup. And that stands regardless of their own injuries.

Voros landed the only real shot in a non-fight. Draw.

Whats up with the Chris Simon comment ??? Yeah he has done some cheap sh i t...but nobody has ever missed a game from his cheap sh i t !!! Not even Hollweg....he is a beefcake with a temper....butt seriuosly when hes on ur team it rocks..Look him up on youtube...seriously watch all his fights...he maybe loses one fight out of like 15...and he has fought and beat people with credentials...probert..grimson...domi...etc !!! Check it out...i was shocked !!! Win for Voros by the Way...He got one uppercut in...but a weak fight overall !!

No fight really. The hit was bad even if he did ease up. He had no business hitting him from behind. It's not like Staal turned at the last minute, nor was Stall in the corner where you might expect someone to be coming. Voros held up because he knew it was a bad hit. Depending on his history he deserves at least a game. If he had hit Mats Sundin like that he'd prbably get 5.

Give Cole credit for standing up for Staal. Cheap hit on Voros' part!

I agree that Voros did let up, and not drill Staal into the boards harder. Not much of a fight, Cole did what most teamates would have done. I was at the game and it is always interesting to hear fan reaction. Being a transplant from the north and growing up with hockey, it is still realtively new in the area, and fans are still learning the sport. I think that the announcers play into this somewhat. It was good to see Fridge trying to spark some life into the Wild's play.

That's wasn't much of a fight at all. The Canes did what they had to do in response. As for the announcers, they're the Canes announcers, what do you expect when their star player gets boarded? Plus, those guys saw Erik Cole come within a fraction of an inch from being paralyzed by Orpik 2 years ago on an almost identical hit -- they can be excused for being sensitive to a board.

The part about with Wild doing such a thing with Brookbank being out, well, that's laughable. Everyone on every team should be afraid of Boogaard. Fedoruk ain't what he used to be but can still hit and get hit with the best of them. I'm not sure why any Wild fans are proud of Chris Simon, he just brings a threat of "you play the Wild, you might get stabbed."

How anyone of you idiots can give it to Cole is ridiculous. It's great that he stuck up for his teammate but what did he do?? The only punch shown is the one that catches him in the face. I guess you couch potato idiots call that a win! Put a pair of skates on someday and get off the couch! The announcers are idiots too.

Guys come on....Why was staal's head that low anyways..he looked like he wanted the hit...obvioulsy not nut christ... why the hell did he go into the boards that low..he only like 3 feet taller than those boards where he hit.....Voros landed the only punch....the announcers on this vid were as bias as ever..I would have popped them one if anybody..shut ur fu kn mouth dude and quit trying to make fans....let the hockey players do that !!!

Calling it a draw because the dumbass cameraman and announcers didn't even show/cover it, thus I don't know what happen. Who cares about the guy hurt on the ice, show the damn fight and it's aftermath for Christ Sake!!!

The shot started off to be cheap, but you can see Voros let up at the end (though not soon enough). So all you folks crying about it being a cheap shot, just zip it and let Voros face the music next time they play. Voros likes to scrap, he's not that good, but he gets the team going anyway! I give him the nod for this one for not being a wank when the other players piled on him and for all you babies crying about cheap shots. We've all seen a LOT worse. This isn't ballet.
