Wow Parros is a nutcase. This wasnt a fight so im calling it a draw. Pronger is the dirtiest player in the league... dont hit someone from behind and then hide behind your broken draw... its no wonder hes second in the league in suspensions

I don't think there should be votes on fisticuff majors. Its not the same thing as a fighting major. Its as if someone got 5 min. for spearing, and we get to vote on that like it was a fight. Of course Parros beat the crap out of Eager-EAGER NEVER DROPPED THE STICK OR MITS. The Ducks were shorthanded for 5-7 min. The Hawks didn't score on this power play as I recall, but I helped them get beat the Ducks. The Hawks are outside of the playoff race now, and they need every point that they can get. It was a very chippy game. The Ducks got away with a lot of cheap shot. The Hawks kept their cool and the Ducks did not. Eager would fight Parros anytime, anywhere, but he sucked Parros into a stupid penalty. Eager really helped the Hawks win. They gave Eager a misconduct ! FOR WHAT? They hand out a lot of misconducts and game misconduct to cut down on fighting. Let them work it out on the ice! Also, if they called this game- and any game- evenhandedly, there would be a lot less chippyness. Bill McCreary is the worst official ever.

I don't know if Eager does this all the time. I don't know how much the concussion problem enters into this. In this case, I am ok with him taking one for the team. Having said that, the Hawks need a guy that can fight to stop the chippy play.

I guess Eager is afraid to fight since Gary Roberts kicked his ass.

Eager is such a *****, I'm glad the Flyers dumped his ass.

I called it a draw because it wasn't a fight. George just jumped him which is fine with me. Eager wouldn't fight Simon the other night either. He'll only drop when he knows he clearly has the upper hand.

eager was wise to bow out. parros was pissed and ready to bring the pain. trying to 'draw a penalty' doesn't make sense -- eager is too dumb for that. he just pussed out. saved himself a beating.

A lot of people bag on Eager about not following the code. Part of the code is never jump a guy either. If Parros doesn't like Eager saying something to Pronger after he cross-checked Adams into the boards, then he challanges him straight up. If Eager declines, Parros gives Toews or Kane a little whack. But you don't jump a guy, especially one with a history of concussions. No class.

This wasn't a fight, it was a jumping. How do you score something like this???

Eager's a bitch, for sure. Not happy at all that the Hawks traded Vandermeer for him. That said, he appeared to simply be playing hockey here, and Parros just jumped him. Parros is another bitch, though. The way it's been going for him lately, this is the only way he can win a fight.

parros had eager lined up, probably intentional, and stuck it to eager pretty good. eager did a good job not getting a major. eager has a whipping coming to him next season, from BGL. take it to the bank.

Let me be the first to say that I cannot stand ANYONE turtling, especially the "tough guy". I watched this game though and I can tell you that Eager's shift was already overextended as he had hit Pronger multiple times. Parros came out onto the ice specifically looking for Eager because of all the hitting Eager was doing. Parros didn't even "ask" Eager to scrap he just flat out jumped him and started throwing. Now, had there been a face-off and both players were rested and ready and Eager turtle, then I would be REALLY ticked. Even if he lost the fight, don't ever turtle. I'll give Eager a pass on this one because I KNOW he was gassed from his shift.

On a side note, Wizzer kicked O'Donnell's butt. Someone said Wisniewski was just holding. I don't think so... He was throwing 'em and O'Donnell was the one holding on and trying to wrestle to the ground.

Eager should have stayed a Flyer. They love gutless, cheap shotting pukes.
Parros did the best he could besides kicking Eager in the vgina
