I don't think there should be votes on fisticuff majors. Its not the same thing as a fighting major. Its as if someone got 5 min. for spearing, and we get to vote on that like it was a fight. Of course Parros beat the crap out of Eager-EAGER NEVER DROPPED THE STICK OR MITS. The Ducks were shorthanded for 5-7 min. The Hawks didn't score on this power play as I recall, but I helped them get beat the Ducks. The Hawks are outside of the playoff race now, and they need every point that they can get. It was a very chippy game. The Ducks got away with a lot of cheap shot. The Hawks kept their cool and the Ducks did not. Eager would fight Parros anytime, anywhere, but he sucked Parros into a stupid penalty. Eager really helped the Hawks win. They gave Eager a misconduct ! FOR WHAT? They hand out a lot of misconducts and game misconduct to cut down on fighting. Let them work it out on the ice! Also, if they called this game- and any game- evenhandedly, there would be a lot less chippyness. Bill McCreary is the worst official ever.

I don't know if Eager does this all the time. I don't know how much the concussion problem enters into this. In this case, I am ok with him taking one for the team. Having said that, the Hawks need a guy that can fight to stop the chippy play.

Wow Parros is a nutcase. This wasnt a fight so im calling it a draw. Pronger is the dirtiest player in the league... dont hit someone from behind and then hide behind your broken draw... its no wonder hes second in the league in suspensions

what on Earth was Parros doing? He just jumped him and started throwing. While most of you might not like Eager because he is a bit of a weiner, he really had no opportunity to do anything here. Parros got the penalty mins, 'Hawks got the W. God I hate the Ducks

Didn't the coward Bertuzzi fight in this game too?

I guess Eager is afraid to fight since Gary Roberts kicked his ass.

Eager is such a *****, I'm glad the Flyers dumped his ass.

Parros did a jump job, does pronger ever drop the gloves or is he just a back door bandit,ya i know he has a broken jaw but i mean his whole career.

Eager should have stayed a Flyer. They love gutless, cheap shotting pukes.
Parros did the best he could besides kicking Eager in the vgina

There are some idiots on here. First, Eager does not hit Pronger in the face here. Pronger runs Adams from behind, so Eager goes over to tell him to knock it off and gives him a shove. Then Parros comes on the ice and runs Eager and starts wailing on him. That isn't a fair fight, not when Eager is at the end of his shift and Parros just came out, not when there is no challange being made, just Parros punching. This seems the only way the guy can fight and not get his ass kicked. And please, let the fight with Roberts go, people. It was months ago, with two teams who aren't even in this conference. If Eager had won that fight, some of you would be bitching about that, so shut up and get a life.

This wasn't a fight, it was a jumping. How do you score something like this???

eager was wise to bow out. parros was pissed and ready to bring the pain. trying to 'draw a penalty' doesn't make sense -- eager is too dumb for that. he just pussed out. saved himself a beating.

George Parros is my hero. I love seeing that from an enforcer, actual enforcing. Stache gets the buttman package but well worth it in my eyes.

The sound bytes were great. Stache is yelling Mother Focker at Eager as he's trying to beat on him.

Huge slops to the linesmen who got between George and Eager. Eager deserves a beating. he's supposed to be a tough guy in this league and turtles like Claude Lemieux? For shame.

F*ck Parros, cheap play: the Ducks motto

Let me be the first to say that I cannot stand ANYONE turtling, especially the "tough guy". I watched this game though and I can tell you that Eager's shift was already overextended as he had hit Pronger multiple times. Parros came out onto the ice specifically looking for Eager because of all the hitting Eager was doing. Parros didn't even "ask" Eager to scrap he just flat out jumped him and started throwing. Now, had there been a face-off and both players were rested and ready and Eager turtle, then I would be REALLY ticked. Even if he lost the fight, don't ever turtle. I'll give Eager a pass on this one because I KNOW he was gassed from his shift.

On a side note, Wizzer kicked O'Donnell's butt. Someone said Wisniewski was just holding. I don't think so... He was throwing 'em and O'Donnell was the one holding on and trying to wrestle to the ground.

typical crap from eager just like before the flyers flushed him. skate around like a tough guy, taking runs, but dont drop the gloves with anyone til you first read the name their sweater. bushleague.
