good for thornton to take so many punches to the head without going down but brashear clearly wins this one

Donnie at least you redeemed yourself from that chara tackle

Brashear Owned him. Thornton tried to go down twice and Brash wouldn't let him haha

decent exchange, brashear is almost credible in this one. I'm neither a Bruins or Brash fan, so I'm neutral on this. Thornton is a real-gamer, that's an understatement.

It's unfortunate that Brashear bowed out of the Chara dance. That had to have some potential IF they simply went at it instead of the dance, stare-down, fall-down... Chara scares me, and IF he focused on just throwing 'em, he could be hard to beat.

My initial reaction was a draw but the vote was way too heavy on Brash's side for me. I give it to Thornton to even it up like it should be. Great showing Thornton.

Great bout. Lots of punches thrown. I would have to give it to Brash when he switched up hands and landed a few quickies. Thornton definitely had the strength to match the shove for shove which surprised me. Very entertaining.

Slight edge to HuggyBear in this nice little scrap. WIN = BRASHEAR

Win for brash.
I noticed he didn't go for the tackle on this one tho. Gotta give him props for being a smart fighter. He KNOWS when (and more importantly, with WHO) to throw down and when to get into a hugfest.
He's one of today's better heavies, but he wouldn't stand a chance against a Probert, Gillies, Nilan, Kocur (before his hands turned to hamburger meat), etc.

I am going to give it to Thornton by a hair...really thought he did land the bigger shots, although DB landed more. Very close.

Brashear landed the better blows in this one

Brashear couldn't get a clean fight in his first tilt of the evening, but he sure got one here. Thornton tried to throw Brashear down, but couldn't after he lost his helmet. Then he tried to go down himself, and Brashear just pulled him back up and kept firing away.

The only shots thornton got in was in the beginning, After thornton threw the first couple, brashear kinda took over and it was all brashear from there on. Good job from thornton, but brashear was just too much in this one. W for Brash
