Second comment. At the very end of the clip, they show a slow motion right hand that connects and if you look in the background, you'll see Sturm and Murray yell out like "YEAHHH!". Great stuff.

Lucic got this one. The body blows didn't seem to matter but the fists that connected were very effective. I would have loved to have seen Ruutu in a blow for blow bout with Lucic without all the grabbing and swing around. It looked to me as if Lucic didn't want to fight that night. He backed down from BGL and tried to avoid even Ruutu. It may or may not have been coaches orders but this is not Lewis, its Julien behind the bench. The broken nose excuse never washed with me. I've seen the best fight and win hurt or injured. I hope Lucic remembers who wore his No 17 at one time. I'll give him some slack once since he's only 19. Plus even if he didn't want to fight he still won.

First gotta give credit for Ruutu going with a much bigger guy and atleast holding his own. But Lucic did completely dominate this fight. Clear win for Lucic

You puss Ruutu. Take your helmet off and fight like a man. Stop huggin. I liked the boxing body shots by Lucic. He is becoming a name brade fighter.

Wow, why did Ruutu want this fight?

Suprised he hung in for that much punishment. He got destroyed!

see what happens to Ruutu when he fights somebody that weighs over 180 lbs.(Downie, Tucker). Ruutu got schooled.

Good fight, its amazing that both of them were standing at the end of it. Lucic with the clear win because Ruutu never landed anything solid. Lucic did land a few god ones and overpowered Ruutu for most of the fight (he should, as he is 20lbs heavier). Idk how people are complaining that he didnt fight BGL when he didnt even want to fight Ruutu. He was wearing a half-shield because he re-broke his nose a few games ago (it was severely broken during a game against the flyers earlier in the season).

That was a great go. Ruutu is the cheapest bastard out there but this year he has been willing to back it up and although he lost this battle, his scrapes this year have been pretty good. Lucic is awsome and I think he would have dropped him with BLG if his nose hadn't been broken earlier this year. He is a guy who may end up being an all-star and a top 10-15 fighter in the NHL.

Who are the dumba$$es that called it a draw and gave it to Ruutu? WTFE. . .

This 19 year old has a lot of guts fighting with a twice broken beak (having done it, it can sting when you take a clean shot). He declined to go with Laraque earlier (as did Thornton - but Lucic's excuse is a bit more palatable), but due to the nose and wearing a shield, once again, a good idea probably. I'd say Lucic more than held his own and landed the bigger shots but Ruutu didn't back down and landed a few himself. Jack Edwards is WAY too enthusiastic as an announcer (and I'm a B's fan) but Andy Brickley is pretty much bi-partisan with less caffeine in the bloodstream. This kid could become a beast but seems to have a bit of talent behind him as well. Can't wait to see where his game is a few years down the road!

Lucic tooled Ruutu here. The best part was that Ruutu wanted to go with him. Lucic is one tough customer. I think he was a little gun shy after getting his beak broke. I guess he's back. You picked on the wrong guy Ruutu. Would love to hear the Pittsburg feed (FSN) on this one just to hear Bob Errey and that other moron talk about how Lucic will get worked.

Shame the 2nd worst announcers in the league (behind ANA) ruined a titanic battle. DECISIVE WIN = LUCIC
