Well done Lucic, protected his nose like a pro.
I'm kinda disappointed that Ruutu didn't pull his arm under his jersey to get out of the clinch, if he had I think he would have won this fight hands down. But it is of course easy to be a couch referee.
Decision Lucic

Lucic crushed him, whoever voted for a draw or a Ruutu win is a Penguin "homer".

Pretty good fight and a good match, lucic with the win.

Lucic was at the end of his shift, and had already declined to fight Laraque earlier in the night due to his broken nose. I was in attendence for this game and actually saw Laraque approach Lucic before a faceoff, and Lucic was shaking his head. Very honorable.

Ruutu on the other hand, checked Lucic, and continued to hit him and instigate for no apparent reason. Lucic was visibly tired and wanted the fight to be broken up on several occasions, but still managed to land enough punches to settle the dispute and earn the decision. A bit drawn-out, but very entertaining bout.

Ruutu picked a fight with the kid and got his butt handed to him. Lucic is the freakin' man.

Ruutuu comes looking for a fight and finds Lucic at the end of his shift. Long, entertaining scrap with both landing solid shots, but Lucic got the better of Jarko. Good to see Lucic let loose despite the broken nose. You can tell Lucic is being told not to fight so that his nose can heal, but he looked pretty good in this one. Cant believe the kid is 19. Win Lucic.

Ruutu really wanted this fight, and now he probably wishes it never happened. Lucic used his huge strength advantage to prevent Ruutu from throwing any decent punches. Lucic landed several, including a bunch of body blows. Lucic with the decisive win in a 1:45 marathon fight.

Why would a 19 year old kid with actual hockey sense and skill fight a 3 minute a game, 30 year old goon, like Laraque? please. If Georges has any class, he wouldn't have even tried to go after the kid. Not Lucic's fault Pittsburgh got their butts kicked and their rental player for the playoffs got injured. Deal with it.

Not to mention Lucic is wearing the visor for a reason and not suppose to be fighting. Ruttu got the ass kicking he deserved despite the fact.

Also, BGL, please.... he doesn't fight, he wrestles people to the ground and punches people in the back of the helmet.

Blown away by the ignorance of some comments. RAT-TU begs for the fight and then gets beat. Why is anyone chirping Lucic? Someone should pump Ruutu at the start of every game so he thinks twice about hurting someone with a cheap shot. Lucic wins the fight handily, but Ruutu does a good job hanging in there and landing one in the end.
I'm not biased towards either team - christ, I'm a Leafs fan (no one to write about there anymore). This was a clear win for Lucic.

I give the edge to LUCIC is a close one. Did anyone notice LUCIC turning down the invitation from Big George while pointing to his visor. Lost a little respect for LUCIC for willingless to dancde with a lesser opponent.

Lucic does a great job holding Ruutu's right hand, but not close so clear victory to Lucic that the announcer says, i give this a draw.

You guys need to stop hating on Looch. I swear to God, when his nose heals I hope to hell Ruutu drops them again and Looch can go ape **** on him. He's been fighting different, protecting his nose and not letting them fly...When he does, i hope Ruutu has the sack to try that again, but he won't. And BGL's time will come. Prolly be a 5 sec tilt where BGL puills him to the ice.

You draw/Ruutu guys are a bunch of cherries. Pick up some tampons when you go food shopping next time...

Ruutu tries to pick on the wrong kid at the sandbox...and pays for it.
