Mark Smith vs Daniel Carcillo

Carcillo was yapping the entire game - doing what he does best - get under the skin of the other team. Nice left to start the fight by Carcillo but the counter by Smith (more of a push) dropped Carcillo. Both fired shots once down on the ice, a little bad blood?? Draw.

Carcillo landed the only credible punch. Smith did all his work after Dan hit his back.

Oh yeah - great first punch. I think he hurt his hand more than he did Mark's face. Hence the falling down. Puss. Smith wins.

Carcillo popped him with a good left. I can understand why Smith was frustrated, but when you start throwing punches at a guy while he is on his back, your asking for trouble. I expect their next fight to be full of emotion. Carcillo with a clear victory.

I'm a big Mark Smith fan while he was with the SJ Sharks, but i thought that him hitting Carcillo while he was on the ice was cheap!!! Draw!!!

Not a fan of throwing punches while the guy's down, so I can't really say that Smith won the fight without getting a bad taste in my mouth.

How can anyone give Smith the win!?!?!?! Again, it's all you flamers coming on here and stuffing the ballot boxes!! Carcillo lands the only actual punch, and it was a good one right at the beginning!! And then, being the tough flamer he is, Smith starts throwing punches while Carcillo is down!! Cheap by Smith to throw shots while Carcillo is on the ground. Nice left jab by Carcillo at the begining. Smith was just miffed that he got caugh with the jab. Classless.

lefevre2 why don't you do everyone a favor and let some intelligent posts take up the front page space. The "Coyotes Punching Bag" team is a lot tougher than the Visor Bag Flamers.

P.S.-There's no excuse for throwing punches when a guy is on his back & u are still on your feet. I can understand if they were both sprawling on the ice. Smith lost some respect in my book for that. If Smith feels he got the short end of the stick because Carcillo slipped & didn't give him a chance, just challenge him again later on in the game. Carcillo doesn't lead the league in pim's because he turns away from physical stuff.

One nice punch for Carcillo. Smiths throwing punches when he's down...normally i'd say classless.But the cross-check to the head against the boards by Carcillo was worse, and if the idiot cant stay on his feet long enough for Smith to try to land a few i say fine to throwing some when he's down there..not sure if he did but i hope Smith landed one.
