It's nice to see someone stick up for the Red Wing stars.

Downey overpowers Lappy who has no choice but to turtle. Clear win Downey, who was looking to punish Lappy for putting a hit on Lidstrom (that knocked him out of the game).

Laperriere has to stop fighting. He's too old or something. I haven't seen him win a fight a in the last two years. He's embarrassing himself, his team and his people. Save the fighting for those that still care about winning Laperriere.

Downey should've laughed after that one. It's not call no-class, It's called kicked ass.

Now bring back McCarty and the wings will have some respect again.

Lappy got beat down and maybe even turtled a bit, but his hit on
Lidstrom looked clean to me.
This rivalry never died, it was just dormant for a while.
Both teams are now fully awake. I hope they meet in the playoffs so Lappy can get a chance to redeem himself a bit.

Downey takes care of business for the Wings. So glad he's with the team. Adds a lot of toughness the Euros don't have.Well, they're tough, they just suck at fighting. Downey fights at the right time with the right player, who usually deserves it. Like Lappy.... Disabling an elite , clean player like Lindstrom is no achievement, it's a bozo move with the elbow to the face. . he got what he earned and deserves some more.

Downey has looked good in his fights as of late. This one is no exception, Laperriere didn't really do much in this one. He wanted to go again with Laperriere later on in the game too. Must've felt he had some unfinished business. Win clearly goes to downey

Way to turtle Laps. It is nice to see the Wings and Av's get ugly with one and other again. Maybe we will get more of this in round 1 of the playoffs.
