"Jason Smith might be the softest dude in the league."

lol, further proof that penguins fans might be the most retarded fans in hockey.

next to rags fans.

and sens fans.

oh yeah, DRAW. giving either guy a win would be stupid.

by the way takedowns mean absolutely nothing in a hockey fight.

well looks like Steve is up to his old self again. Well if you can't do anything for your team Stats wise. Don't takeout a non-fighter. who is more fragile than wayne gretzky. That said.

GOOD JOB JASON.

Munch, How are the flyers useless? Because there not winning hockey games of late? All teams go on skids like this. Tell the canadiens to get some real toughness, not panzys. Komisarek might be a tough guy, but he doesnt drop them enough to be considered a tough guy. Im jealous i cant watch a boring team everynight like the canadiens. I think the flyers are 3rd in the league in fighting majors, and the canadiens are like 20th. So that means most of our hockey games have some excitement, unlike yours. Hopefully we see you in the playoffs. Nice try on the insult on the flyers, ill give you a 3 for effort clown.

How is that hit a penalty!! I didn't see the game but the clip shows the Flyer passing the puck a half second before getting drilled - with the shoulder. **** that is hockey. Keep your head up or pay the price. Nothing dirty about it. The fight was a draw - Smith was in so close that neither he nor Begin could get free to throw them. Nice takedown by Begin - if this was wrestling...

funny stuff comin from the habs fan over there. big surprise. yes the flyers have had some dirty plays, but they are a tough team. I see people on here talk about the visors. hartnell and downie have a little problem shedding them(i agree). Cote , Hatcher, Smith, Eager(when he was hear), Vandermeer can all throw them and they dont have a visor. Way more times than not Richards throws his visor off if you look at all his fights in the league. I can see why people think downie is a punk and he deserved the suspension, but at least he doesnt hit from behind like the Hollwegs of the world. I guess its easy for people to hate on here cuz it makes them feel tough and opinionated. Grow up and call it like you see it. No team is perfect.

Tough to call here. Begin scores the nasty hit on Tolpeko, who now has a concussion. He did indeed leave his feet, but it looked more like an effort to brace himself. If you slow-moed the replay on the hockey channels you'll see that Tolpekos head was up; It was just that nasty a hit. Jason smith scores the "step in for your teamate" prop and get's some shots in, but Begin is game and wins the takedown that Jay appears to have intiated. It about evens things out. Great hockey here as far as "following the codes" but not much of a fight in the end. The powers that be will probably not review the hit for 3 reasons: 1) Begin leaving his feet was not done with intent to injure despite his getting a charging penalty. 2) He was not wearing a flyer uniform. 3) The concussion victim was a flyer.
I talked to a habs fan he told me that Jay smith got his nose broken by a high stick later in the game. No penalty called. See reasons above as to why. Unfortunately, the flyers forearmed their way into a corner earlier this year with the suspensions. It may make them interesting to watch and comment on but it may drop them from the playoffs this year.

it doesnt matter how falls to the ice first it matters who get the must punches in. and a body slam isnt part of a hockey fight, thats wrestling for the *****s.

if anything this should of been a draw.
