I'm a Thrashers fan. That performance against the Isles was one of the worst exhibitions of hockey I've ever seen (Isles out-shot Ze Trash Mini-Mites 49-10). Ex was pissed off, did some cheap stuff, and got kicked out of the game. Ex can do infinitely better than that, but he doesn't fight much after the concussion he had last year. I guess he wanted to get out of there ASAP. I'm surprised Boulton and Thorburn didn't do the same.

Comeau should have done something. If you don't want to fight, don't fight, but at least stick up for yourself in one way or another.

That being said, what Exelby did was unacceptable. I can understand you're frustrated, but to spear somebody and punch someone in the face before they even get their gloves off (even though Comeau showed no intention to do so) is cowardly.

i love the homers (especially kitcarnut) rooting for the dirty trash that is exelby. 1 - comeau isn't a fighter and he would be a lightweight v. a heavyweight. if exelby were a real fighter and went by the code, he would have found sutton or somebody else to drop the gloves for comeau. 2 - NOTHING warrants a stick "between" the legs like that! 3 - that's not cowardice, it's intelligence. 4-ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

and for the guy interested, berard probably got the GM for 3rd man in (auto GM), although exelby should have gotten an extra 2 for instigating or the slash/spear should have been a major.
