Steve Ott vs Chris Kunitz

Kunitz jumped on Ott while his back was turned and got in some cheap shots before Ott could react. By the time Ott could react Kunitz was already down the ice. Stupid play by Kunitz.

Not a fight Kunitz jumps Ott when Ott was engaged with Perry. Perry can fight so i don't know why Kunitz needs to jump in. Kunitz really doesn't do anything especially considering he blindsided the guy and Ott ends up with the takedown. Soft move by Kunitz and Perry!

stop all the wining about Kunitz...this happens all the time. we all know he is not a fighter. Ott going after a non fighter like Perry shows nothing for him either.

why so much bad blood against kunitz?? wasn't he doing his job in defending the team's leading goal scorer?? hmmmm.....sounds like alot of people simply don't like this team??? kunitz is not the main enforcer on the ducks but he showed a certain degree of tenacity in going after ott. give hime credit for that.....

Not much of a fight. I'd give the win to Kunitz but only because he jumped Ott and they didn't really get a chance to square off - this isn't boxing guys - who threw the most punches/most effective punches = winner. I read these posts and I honestly don't think some of you watch hockey or know anything about the game other then who can/can't fight. Perry is leading the Duck's in goals - no way do they want him in the box for 5 because of an idiot like Ott. Kunitz jumps Ott after he sucker punched Perry. That's called sticking up for your teammate and I guarantee that the boys on the bench and in the room after were not pissed at Kunitz for getting the instigator - they all probably think is a dumb rule that their player got the extra PIM when Ott suckered their guy.

I'm not crazy about either guy, but Kunitz is a twit and a sucker puncher. He mugged Ott, and you can't give a guy a win for that.

PATM09. I agree with everything you said. Ott shouldnt be going after perry anyway. Shouldnt call a guy a P**** who sticks up for his teammate. When someone goes after your star player, why show that guy any class or respect. To me, Ott is the P****. I have nothing against steve ott, hes one of those guys you would want on your team. Just some people on here dont know what there talking about.

Ott throws an elbow at perry, then thows a punch at him...Perry is the ducks number one scorer -- why should he fight...kunitz goes after ott so perry doesn't get a penalty...if ott is going to take cheap shots, he should be expecting them in return...he got what he deserved.

Kunitz (let's hope we spell it right or will be banned from the sight) got the job done. He kept Snott from doing what he does best. I don't like giving victories to punks who instigate with face shields on but Kunitz at least found a way to knock his own helmet off, but of course not before throwing. Every thing just happend so fast that everything looked like a sucker punch here. Ott was throwin them too. The Stars just keep handing it to the Ducks after mayhem like this, even if the Stars wind up on the worse end of it.

Kunitz is such a *****. He can't fight worth a damn and he tries to sucker punch Ott. He's wearing a visor on top of that.

Ott is the guy you love if he's on your team and the guy you hate if he isn't. He's not the team's main fighter anymore. His job is to get in the other teams head and throw his body around. I love watching him play and he plays his role perfectly. He's also added a little more offense to his game this year.

This incident allowed Dallas to score and they went on to beat Anaheim for the 5th time this year. So Ott did his job by shifting the momentum.

Ott is a little pest but Kunitz mugged him and was punish with the additional minutes. This play turned the game around for the Stars.
