How is anyone giving this fight to ruutu? it's obvious you're only giving it to him because downie just skated away when he was done, downie CLEARLY won this fight, the first minute ruutu did absolutely nothing, and then threw maybe 3-4 rabbit punches that barely connected to the back of the head, then downie blast him twice in the face causing him to bleed then skates away... hell why am i expaining the proof is in the video.

U know what's pisssing me off. This "end of shift" excuse u see more & more of. U boneheads are telling me u now have the ability to calculate every single players "ice time" Right? When I know it takes a team of statisticians, "one assigned to each player, prolly" in order to compute that stuff. I ain't mentioning any names... But it seems like that only comes up when certain teams play. It couldn't possibly be your HOMER ANNOUNCER making that excuse, "b4 the fight even starts," just in case your guy loses... And about this Downie "quitting" vs. "the fight was over" arguement... So a guy waves off a ref because he has 2 more punches left in him. But then "HE" decides that because "HE'S SPENT," that the fight is over. Who cares if your opponent might have some punches of his own left to offer. THAT'S QUITTING PEOPLE! If he would just hang on & then let go & skate away, I can see your arguement. But the fact that he threw 2 & then bolted makes him look so shady.
P.S.-I don't wanna get on Philly fans, because few of 'em are mad cool & I can see from a "Philly fan perspective" u can see some of Downie's fight antics as entertaining. BUT SPEAKING JUST TO THOSE WHO HAVE FOUGHT, Whouldn't some of this stuff, being done against u, make u wanna kill the twirp?

Good fight between 2 of the biggest pukes in the league.

The announcers are AWFUL. Homer doesn't even quite describe them, more like slurpers would be better.

Anyway, good fight, both got some good shots in and Downie skates away which was kind of funny actually.

Downie ran away as soon as he had no visor to hide behind.

It figures all the Flyer haters take Ruutu! Even if you hate a player he can still whoop your A** in a fight! I guess the 2 punches he lands counts more then the 10 that Downie landed! It is funny that the only 2 players other teams try to fight are Downie and Cote! Not the biggest guys but the craziest! Try and pick on Hatcher, Smith, Richards, Hartnell and Vandermeer too! They will all drop the gloves and they all have been around 3 more years!! In 3 years Downie and Cote will be the 1 to 2 punch for the Flyers! But they are still both rookies and no one gives them any credit! F the Pens, Battle A** 13 and all his flaming buddies!

IF RUUTU would have keep throwing he would have not stopped!! But you do not hit girls and players who do not fight back!

Not so brave without your visor protecting you, are you Downie? Ruutu must have heard our cries for the visor to come off.

Good entertaining scrap, but Downie walking away shows what we all know....he's a wuss.

Wow, and Downie never hit Ruutu from behind, or sucker punched him, Downie is scum, im not a Ruutu fan, but i give him the decision. Where was Cote? Did he take my advice to stay on the bench? Maybe 3 - 4 shifts? I guess he remembered the beating George gave him, good choice Cote.
