Haha, I've never seen so much whining. Everyone knows Downie is a dirty little head-case, we've heard about him since he was 15 fighting his teammates in practice, he offers no surprises. He took a hit he didn't like, and took care of his business, visor on visor (until T's lid comes off). I can't wait to see him get owned one day (hopefully by Phaneuf) in a career-ending melee, but in the meantime he creates some great drama for us all to watch. I love Toots, but he should have known better. Downie might be the only player who has the power to fight anyone in the league, because everybody wants that chance to crack his head open and do everyone a favor; too bad he's a half-decent scrapper (when actually fighting someone who throws).

Once again the 3rd place Flyer fems prove their cheap shot nature. Big bruiser Downie likes to fight with his face shield on? Reminds me of Bobby Clarkes cheap shot days.

Downie with a win against a guy that NEVER FIGHTS. What a p*ssy Downie is - if I see his mother I'm going to slap her for the manners she gave him. Not only that, but the idiot kept his visor on - disgusting, simply disgusting.

Rangers rock suckas.

Oh My God! U Flyer fans just tell yourself lies to justify all the dirty & wimpy play out there. I swear I just read a ton of things on here that ain't even true.
1) Tyutin doesn't wear a visor u boneheads, so yes it is yet another cheap play by Downie, because the replay showed that Hollweg caught up to Downie and slammed him on his back. And of course Downie gets up to grab the Non-Fighting Russian Dman who can't even spell fight. Real Classy. & saying Tyutin often gives cheap hits? Never, U just made that up.
2) Some idiot said that Avery is exactly like Downie. Sorry, Downie has surpassed Avery's "Most Hated Player Rep" in just 20 games. Avery has only delivered clean hits & fights fair since he got to NY. I don't know about his game b4 NY but I haven't seen anything cheap from him (and NYR fans who watch daily will agree.) On the other hand Downie is in the news twice a week for straight up dirt. Avery's hated cause he trash talks. Do u ever see a penalty next to Avery's name that says "Match Penalty, Intend to injure & game misconduct" for Yapping...
3) Then my favorite lie of all. This one had me rolling. Some non-sense about players born after a certain date have to wear visors rookie year? What? That's why Dubinsky & Stall (who are rookies) and i Bet they are younger than Downie & they don't wear visors. Get your facts straight if u gonna defend what u know is wussy play. Don't just make up stuff. Then u cry about how there's so many Flyer haters. I wonder why?

DOWNIE whoop him good!!! He needs to do more of this stuff!!! Here is a thought Ranger fans!! When the FLYERS sign Forsberg!! Downie moves to the 4the line with COTE and Boulresse or how ever you spell his name!! Match that up against Holpuss, HORR and that other Hollywood girl Avery!!! Witch are the only tough guys the Rangers have!! Put it this way you won the game but bthe FLYERS KICKED YOUR ASS! OVER AND OVER THE YEARS!!!! So start bending over again!!!!!!!

Sir yo Hans IS a PLUGG!!!! How much money does NYR have to spend to match the talent gthe FLYERS DRAFT year after year!!! REAL HOCKEY MINDS REAL HOCKEY BLOG!! VISOR ARE A PART OF THE GAME!! Next time Downie or Richards takes their helmet off they will shove it up your A**!!!
FLYER FANS!!
EVERYONE HATES THE TEAM THEY WISH THEY HAD!!
THINK THIS WAY THE ARE THE 2nd youngest team in the NHL!!!!!!!

Downie is very brave behind his visor...I can't wait till someone drops that punk. In my opinion, the entire Flyers team is dirty. The Orr/Cote fight was great.

Too bad for Tyutin, Downie was better, but still behind that visor.
