Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Jan 24, 2008 Pittsburgh Penguins Ryan Stone
3pd 05:34 Philadelphia Flyers Steve Downie
Comments: They find each other near center ice and then drop the mitts. They grab ahold of each other and exchange rights. Stone's jersey goes up and over his head but he continues to throw right hands while Downie tries to duck away from them. Downie then comes back with a right just as Stone falls to the ice. Downie gets in two more after they hit the playing surface but the linesmen are right there to break things up.

Is that all Downie does is cheap shot people ? Kind of close fight, win goes to R Stone.

Win to Downie, but only because Stone's jersey comes up over his head, inhibitting him from doing much else.

Though, I must say, if you're going to throw shots at a guy while he's down with the sweater over his head, you're disgraceful.

Fighting in hockey may not be the most presentable of activities, but at least have some decency. You already won the fight, don't taint it.

Hey Stevie boy. Do you sleep, eat, shower and pooh with that visor on as well? Better tighten it down onto your helmet extra tight son, I doubt you'll able hide behind it forever in the NHL.

Most of Downies punches landed after Stone fell down. What a loser that guy is. How is he still in the league?

Downie recoved very well and got the last shots in plus the sweater over the head... Downie gets the nod in a close scrap.

downie lands the only punches, granted most of them to the downed opponent, clear win for downie

This one is a win for Ryan Stone, because he had the best punches. And what 's so hilarious was that Steve Downie wasn't given a chance to do some dirty, girly play. Yet Downie still managed to bulk up his ****ty rep by throwing punches when the guy's down on the ice.

P.S. - I wouldn't be suprised if Downie starts wearing one of those Hasek-Style goalie masks soon & starts fights with it on. I guarantee teams are taking notes on his antics & he's gonna have to fight every night.

Downie is a toilet bug. With all the hype about him, he is turning into a very unlikeable fellow.

Fighting with the face shield and punching when a guy is down equals scumbag in my book.

Bring the hate Flyer fans, I can take it. If the guy was on another team, you'd be layin him to waste.
