Jan 24, 2008 Pittsburgh Penguins Ryan Stone
3pd 05:34 Philadelphia Flyers Steve Downie
Comments: They find each other near center ice and then drop the mitts. They grab ahold of each other and exchange rights. Stone's jersey goes up and over his head but he continues to throw right hands while Downie tries to duck away from them. Downie then comes back with a right just as Stone falls to the ice. Downie gets in two more after they hit the playing surface but the linesmen are right there to break things up.

Very close, some good hits by both men, Solid Draw. If both jerseys had stayed down, there would have been some mean punches thrown.

Nice little fight. They both were kind of wild, just throwing punches, but Downie connected on a few big shots so I have to give him the edge.

So for a bunch of you.. Downie has now lost 2 fights in a row without getting hit with a single punch.

Pathetic.

draw - but Downie is a punk and he will get it much worse one day if he keeps taking cheap shots.

Will someone please give Downie a taste of his own medicine and either elbow him or cross-check his face off.

Downie's first left buckled Stones knees, his second punch, a right, popped off Stone's helmut. Stone got a few solid punches in and then Downie finished him off with 3 solid blows to his head when Stones jeresey was pulled over his head. Good fight....win for Downie with the more solid connections and especially his first two punches that buckled Stones knees and blew off his helmut

Guess Downie was'nt that badly hurt by BGL after all....lots of engery to go and fight afterwards....This kid is an idiot. More punching when someone is on the ice here, and jerseyed.....Check out BGL's class when he stuns Cote in that fight and sends him to a knee - then lets him up to continue. Class. Downie has none.

Draw. Downey is sure fighting a lot these days. He makes the flyers a lot less fun to play.
