Jan 24, 2008 Pittsburgh Penguins Ryan Stone
3pd 05:34 Philadelphia Flyers Steve Downie
Comments: They find each other near center ice and then drop the mitts. They grab ahold of each other and exchange rights. Stone's jersey goes up and over his head but he continues to throw right hands while Downie tries to duck away from them. Downie then comes back with a right just as Stone falls to the ice. Downie gets in two more after they hit the playing surface but the linesmen are right there to break things up.

Close fight. Downie was ejected for not having his jersey tied down. If his jersey was tied, I think Stone would have done a little better at the end.

Downie seemed to get in a good left hand to the side of Stone's face to start off the fight. Good to see the 2 guys open up and try to throw without the hugfest. I'll give an edge to Downie for that first punch which seemed to be the best of the fight.

What is up with Downie? This guy is acting like he doesn't respect anyone on the ice. It's one thing to face gouge and another to hit a guy when he's defenseless and restrained by a linesman. I'd bet if someone boarded this guy the refs would go out of their way to give Downie the major.

Almost gave this to Downie, but it ended more due to the jersey coming up rather than Downie winning. Therefore it goes down as a draw.

Class act by Downie. Swinging at Stone while on the ground and Stone has his jersey over his head.

Downie is proving to be a total psycho. No punch bothers him (not that anything thrown by either of them really landed in this one) and he won't stop until the linesman has him in a headlock. Soon enough, no one will want to go near him. A draw.

once again Downie showing his cheap shot by throwing punches with the guys jersey over his head. This kid needs a good licking.
