Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Jan 24, 2008 Pittsburgh Penguins Ryan Stone
3pd 05:34 Philadelphia Flyers Steve Downie
Comments: They find each other near center ice and then drop the mitts. They grab ahold of each other and exchange rights. Stone's jersey goes up and over his head but he continues to throw right hands while Downie tries to duck away from them. Downie then comes back with a right just as Stone falls to the ice. Downie gets in two more after they hit the playing surface but the linesmen are right there to break things up.

Draw. Downey is sure fighting a lot these days. He makes the flyers a lot less fun to play.

Downey has been a great addition for the FLyers. A real energy guy.

He reminds me alot of Matthew Barnaby when he was in his prime.

C'mon, enough already! Is this guy going to get in a fight every night with a visor on? Somebody's got to rip that thing off his coconut and give him a righteous a** whoopin'. Flyer fans will say he killed him, Flyer haters will say draw or Stone came back and won. I think both got their shots in, Downie got one good shot in early. Of course, he's not overly concerned with getting hit. I wonder why? Oh, and Clarkson said he got cut by Downie's shield in that scrap. I'll take Cote on my team anyday, you can keep Downie.

Downie ended up on top in a pretty good scrap. Nice to see Downie in a real fight and not hitting someone from behind, or with his stick.

Edge to Stone in this scrap because he connected with more shots than Downie did.

Nice job hitting a guy while he is down Steve.

Close but have to give it to Stone.

Downie is proving to be a total psycho. No punch bothers him (not that anything thrown by either of them really landed in this one) and he won't stop until the linesman has him in a headlock. Soon enough, no one will want to go near him. A draw.

Downie did not land much until Stone went down - then he landed 3 ... fought with visor on again .. in any fight this year in the AHL has he taken his visor off like they usually do down there?
