Jan 24, 2008 Pittsburgh Penguins Georges Laraque
1pd 02:19 Philadelphia Flyers Riley Cote
Comments: Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and Laraque throws a quick left. Cote falls to the ice but Laraque allows him to get back up. They spin around and Laraque starts to connect with numerous lefts, knocking Cote's helmet off and rocking him. Cote throws a left of his own but it comes up short. Laraque continues to land with lefts until Cote throws another left, knocking both off-balance and to the ice.

Of Course im a Flyers Fan but def. win Laraque....Its hard to beat him....but you gotta give it to COTE for standing in there with the best in the league..

Cote didn't have much of a chance, but he didn't back down and he definitely showed all the doubters that he'll fight anyone. Laraque with the win, but a lot of credit to Cote for even doing it, he was definitely quite a bit smaller than Laraque.

All Laraque. Respect for Cote for not going down after taking a beating, again showing he will back down from no one.

ok whats the deal. i know Riley was a Big dog in the CHL. with big PIM. But in the Big Leagues you have to size them up. its like Greztky going against PROBERT. Bob will BEAT ,Gretzky like a Redheaded Step child.
Riley i suggest watching UFC or some kind of MMA. U lack Brains. U have alot of BRONZE. I give you that.

Laraque opens up and shows everyone why he is the reigning champ. Kudos out to Cote for standing in there and trying to go Toe2Toe with the best there is. Laraque got it started off early and never looked back. Good to see that Cote has one hell of a chin. Definitive victory for the champ, good showing by Cote. This fight went exactly as planned.

that cote is a tough guy , he can take a lot . what he shouldnīt take is monster george , thatīs too much for him . total domination here.

Laraque dominated this fight and pummeled COte pretty good. His reach killed Cote. Laraque showed why he is the champ.

Laraque PUMPS Cote!!! WOhoooo. Lets see how many Homer fans say Cote won. Total Domination. Good job Georgey for putting Cote in his place.

BGL wins in a walk. Still think Cote is top shelf though. This kid has no fear and no quit in him. He'll be a lot better as time goes on.
