Jan 24, 2008 Pittsburgh Penguins Georges Laraque
1pd 02:19 Philadelphia Flyers Riley Cote
Comments: Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and Laraque throws a quick left. Cote falls to the ice but Laraque allows him to get back up. They spin around and Laraque starts to connect with numerous lefts, knocking Cote's helmet off and rocking him. Cote throws a left of his own but it comes up short. Laraque continues to land with lefts until Cote throws another left, knocking both off-balance and to the ice.

Laraque All The Way.

Cote got Laraque'd. I just don't understand why people keep fighting him. It isn't making a statement or setting a tone. All they are doing is reinforcing the fact that Laraque is the baddest man in hockey.

Good to see BGL let Cote up to keep fighting, win: BGL on points.

Complete domination by BGL. The haitian lets everybody know that he's still a dominant force and anybody should think twice before trying to fock with him. Props to Cote though for standing up to BGL.
The beginning of the fight made it look like a python is sizing up a rabbit...lol BGL wasn't even moving his body, just sliding and looking for the right moment to attack while Cote seemed like just a little panicky.

another day at the office for the big man....but the hit in the corner was suspect..... downie knew george was coming he looked back then went into the corner bent over so george let up and gave him a lil push, downie fell head first into the boards, YOU NEVER GO INTO A CORNER LOW WITH YOUR HEAD TO THE BOARDS!!!! BIG GEORGE COULD HAVE REALLY ROCKED HIM BUT DID NOT. granted goerge shouldnt have even touched him, but its hockey and guys get hit. its obvious laraque wasn't out for blood.

Classy move by Larque to let Cote get back up, then just beat the tar out of Cote. Cote next time stay down.
