That was not a fight. The announcers are full of crap. The elbow wasn't up. There is a reflex where your arm goes up like that after a hit. The same thing that happens when the doctor hits your knee with that little mallet. It was clean hit on a quickly developing play where the guy had his head down. I don't blame Mitchell for sticking up for his team, however.

this is utterly ridiculous. It is no longer possible in this league to lay a big, clean hit on an opposing player without someone else jumping in trying to fight. If you want to retaliate, lay a clean hit of your own, don't come in punching. Jesus....

This turned out to be nothing that would constitute a fight but great job on Mitchell's part for immediately taking exception to Perrault's hit.

Whatever. Total garbage. If you're going to seek revenge, you probably should actually do something instead of sweater pulling.

Im giving this one to Perrault, he clobbered the hell out of that guy and deserved to get the win. Willie Mitchell is a punk ass for finishing a fight he never should have been involved in.....

There have many of these types of 'non-fights' this year.

Perrault should have got 2 min for roughing....Mitchell should have got 2 min for roughing...that wasn't a fight....but that was an excellent hit which was one of many in this game Van just skates around with their heads down

John Garret or whatever his name is, is almost as biased as the Columbus Bluejacket announcers. The guy is one huge homer and watching Canucks game with him as a color commentator is painful

There's no way Mitchell should have got a instigator, Perrault threw an elbow and had his gloves off before Mitchell. Both guys knew it was going to happen, the insigator rule proves how garbage it is yet again.

And good on Willie for makin the kid feel like part of the team, gotta be good to know your guys will got to bat for you being the new guy.

props to Mitchell for coming in after the hit and sticking up for team. Hit looked clean to me though.....also if Mitchell is gonna bum rush him he better come in swinging especially on Perrault
