This was a match of a sometimes fighter vs a non-fighter.
After a questionable hit by Franzen ,Walker jumps him ,they grabble Walker rips off Franzens helmet and then lands 8 straight rights to the back and side of Franzen's head who was looking to get on the ice and have it stopped.
Whoever voted from Franzen evidentally did not see the fight.
I'm not sure why anyone would think a Blues player should have sought out Downey, if Downey felt like he should stick up for his team mates then it was his place to seek out a StL player and initiate a confrontation. Didn't see Downey even register a hard check .

You should not be fighting if your name is Johan.

Cheap fight by Walker, it was a clean hit by Franzen and he's not a fighter at all

Walker won if you really want to call it a fight. Franzen never threw and never wanted the throw.

Wasn't anything wrong with that hit by Franzén, but he sure got his ass kicked, I'm a bit suprised that they let Walker get away with that, Franzén isn't a fighter so why doesn't the Red Wings go after Walker after that beat down?! I know that the Red Wings doesn't have a lot of enforcers but someone should be able to step up and show them that they doesn't tolerate that there "non fighting players" are beaten up by a guy that is used to drop the gloves.

Wow Walker's a little bitch....maybe he was a little intimidated at the sight of someone with a lot more talent than himself....

Franzen got just a small taste of what he deserves for his cheap shot

This is Detroit's toughest forward... Gee I wonder why they're having attendance problems

I'm a Wings fan, but that boy needs to learn how to fight...especially if he delivers a questionable hit like that. You hit someone like Franzen did, expect to get some flak...

Mailman, I don't get your comments...how is Walker a bi***? HIs teammate got hit up high from behind, resulted in a concussion, Walker skates over gives Franzen a shove, Franzen throws a gloved right at Walker, then gets beat down. What is Walker's job? Enforcer! His job is to protect his teammates and hand out "discipline" when the other team gets out of hand. And let's be serious, that was a questionable hit from behind to Jackman's head. Frazen is no small cat either, so it's not like Walker went and beat up Daytsuk or Hudler. IF you hit high, you are asking for trouble. Walker did his job, period and I would expect the same from anybody in the league.
