snowboardingmatt,

you have no reason to call him a ***** other then out of pure jealousy now. he can do everything...not claiming he is an amazing fighter, but he proved he can hold his own in a scrap, which is more then i ever expected out of him.

"Crosby is still a pu**y.
i mean come on, he fought Ference, who has just as many fights as Crosby does.
Crosby should fight someone that has fought alot, then i wouldnt consider him a bitch.

Draw."

don't usually take a run at other people who post on these things but come on man, think of what you say. Crosby isn't paid to fight, he's payed to score, and make plays. He does that night in and night out, how valuable would it be if he fought every night? Missing 5 minutes of ice would be detrimental to the performance of his team, but, on the other side of the coin, he could have easily backed down and let someone else take care of his dirty laundry. He didn't and he should get more respect for dropping the gloves one time.

And honestly, how much sense would it make for any light/middleweight player who job is to put points on the board and put the opposing defense back on their heels to drop the mitts with someone who does fight regularly? None.

I didn't see the fight yet (youtube blocked here at work B/S), which I haven't scored yet, but I'm only drawing the conclusions on what YOU had said. Why don't you stick to watching the LNAH or something.

p.s. I was always taught from midgets if you were to fight, you at least undo your chinstrap, if not take the lid off and your elbow pads if you were to square up.

Crosby and Ference both wear visors... Crosby got Ference's bucket off, Ference didn't get Crosby's off. Crosby shouldn't be penalized for getting Ference's bucket off and not allowing Ference to get his. It was a pure fight, none of that scripted ****.

Crosby controlled the fight and won in my opinion.

Crosby gets the win for drawing blood and landing the better shots. Also, it was visor vs visor, so don't give the excuse that Crosby won this fight because Ference wasn't wearing a visor.

Killer first fight! Glad to see him FINALLY do it. Crosby gets so much lip from players and hockeys fans, its nice to see him drop the gloves.

Everyone here bashing Crosby for wearing a Visor in a fight is clearly below the IQ mark of 50.

Who instigated this fight? Andrew Ference.

Does Andrew Ference wear a Visor? Why yes, yes he does!
So fighting a person who instigated a fight with you, who also wears a visor makes you a panzy? You guys just hate without a just reasoning to do so. Crosby wears a Visor to stop any intentional high-sticks that come his way, which I can guarantee you there are plenty, not to shield himself from a fist during a fight.

I would love to see any one of you ugly internet-heroes who have given Crosby crap and will continue to do so for no other reason than jealousy, go up against Sid the Kid on the ice and have him embarrass you, and if worst comes to worst, kick the **** out of you. You guys are pathetic. Quit hating on a 20 year old phenom. It's not his fault he's better than you, get over it.

Crosby showed a lot of toughness that we haven't seen too much in his short career. I thought he threw some good shots and the cuts & blood on Ference was proof enough for me. Bravo Kid!

Well, I think Sid at least did a little to prove one more aspect of his game, if we had questioned his toughness. And for people cutting Crosby down for wearing a visor have obviously overlooked Ference's visor...?

blood says it all.

About time he dropped the gloves to make up for all his whining.
