Very smart by Rivet keeping Carter up twice to continue to pound him. Not only has Rivet proven he is a good fighter but he is a smart one as well.

Fighter against a non fighter?

Rivet's been in the league what, 13 years now, 40 odd scraps in that time?...Just how do some of you clowns measure the 'fighters' vrs non fighters?

With the Habs, and now with the Sharks, Rivet's primary job is to play solid steady defence...he drops them occasionally, and generally handles himself pretty well in the process...

Carter stepped into the dance, I'll give him that much credit....

Easy win for Rivet against the young non-fighter Carter, Rivet chose the easiest fight out there, I'm not impressed, didnt see him going for Parros!

Funny how the only 4 comments that talk bad about Rivet are fron DUCKS FANS! If Rivet didnt belong in a fight against Carter, then Carter shouldnt've dropped his gloves. He did and he got his a$$ handed to him., END OF STORY. fighter, non-fighter... Carter is an idiot for thinking he was a fighter. and JUHA82, Rivet didnt land a good punch? what happened when he switched hands and lit up Carters face? Poor Carter got whiplash from getting his head hit so hard. stupid duck fans

Rivet was coward for fighting Carter. Good for Carter for answering the bell. Hopefully Rivet will show some class and answer the bell when the guppies play the ducks on saturday.

Maybe Rivet looks really good against guys who don't fight. Parros is the one who bumps the goalie and even gets a slash from him. Yet, Rivet goes after Carter. Yeah, OK. I don't think Carter was brought up for his first game to toss his mitts. If Rivet has a problem, he should deal with it. Don't go after the guy who's least likely to fight. Someone else here stated "Rivet took the easy fight out there, I'm not impressed". I agree with you 100%. I'm gonna guess Rivet didn't want to get smacked around like Davison.
