Nabokov slash was way low. Its still a penalty, but its not likely to hurt the guy the way he did it. Rivet has really been valuable to the sharks by sticking up for his team lately. Carter needs to do some work. It was likely at the end of a shift, however.

Rivet sure knows how to scrap, and when he does, he works the guy he fights.

Hmm?
Interesting fight, because Rivet didn't land a good punch although he controlled well the bout at the start to the end.
Carter lands one big one.
But thinking this was narrow win to Rivet.

Wow, an old school rough and tumble game. Rivet dominates. I agree with one of the reviews, if you're not a fighter then don't drop your gloves. If you do, you get what's coming to ya. Rivet's had a good week. Top guys for the last week: Lucic, Roberts and Rivet (just for the past week or so). Who would have picked those 3?

rivet again grabbing a guy who doesnt wanna go...what a puke, fight someone who wants to fight...

Rivet manhandled him. For an excellent defenceman Rivet sure can fight.

I don't think I've ever seen a guy go down because of a jersey jab. Nice of Rivet to let Carter get back up so he could smack him down a bit more.

Win Rivet. God bless the Habs for taking Josh Gorges and giving SJ the gift of Craig Rivet.

rivet dominated that one, carter was never in it. He didnt pummel him, but won the fight easy.

Clear win Rivet, Honorable nod to Rivet for holding back when Carter was on the ice, not once but twice. Rivet obviously knew it wasn't much of a match up.

Nice win by Rivet.

The way it looks, Rivet seem like he over powered Carter. But didn't land much hits, except Carter falling a few times. But noticed Rivet wants to hit Carter while he is on the ground...looks like he likes to fight dirty...let's fight fair now...

Fighter against a non fighter?

Rivet's been in the league what, 13 years now, 40 odd scraps in that time?...Just how do some of you clowns measure the 'fighters' vrs non fighters?

With the Habs, and now with the Sharks, Rivet's primary job is to play solid steady defence...he drops them occasionally, and generally handles himself pretty well in the process...

Carter stepped into the dance, I'll give him that much credit....
