Gary Roberts vs Ben Eager

Roberts clearly won this one, but the people who are trashing Eager are wrong (or just a lot of crybaby Pens fans.) Eager is a tough kid who can also play the game. ...a guy who can get the other team riled up, can make other guys take stupid penalties, can drop the gloves and throw 'em and who can actually skate, pass and shoot.

I think the Eager haters are taking this a bit too far.

1. There was nothing wrong with that hit. Laraque would have done the same exact thing. And I didn't see Eager purposely run the Penguins goalie either.

2. Roberts takes the decision.. but come on. His best punch came to the back of Eager's head when they were on the ground. He threw a whole bunch of rabbit punches that either missed or were blocked. But don't get me wrong.. Roberts wins.. but only because Eager was supposed to take care of him and didn't.

And this was nowhere near the biggest embarassment of the game. The biggest embarassment was Whitney jumping Carter for absolutely no reason and then getting his ****ing ass kicked.

Are all pen fans retarted? The so called elbow wasnt even called. As for that dinosaur roberts, way to go, you really whooped eager did you see his face afterwards, oh wait there wasn't a mark on it. I love that pens fans think their team is so tough. Thats why the majority of your team wouldn't fight last night when challenged. Oh by the that clown Lacock is the worst player in the NHL, nice slide tackle tough guy.

I do agree that Eager got smoked, however, Eager does take on all comers. Just last year he took on Boogard. Eager doesnt win many, but he doesnt shy away either.

win by roberts but he challenged Eager after he just got done knocking BGL on his butt with a clean check and then wrestling on the ice with BGL. That's enough to wear out anybody. Man up and drop the gloves when its even, thats the on ice code.
