A draw, good hit hit by Phaneuf reminds Hudler to keep his head up next time. Kudos to Lilja for stepping up.

Great hit by Phaneuf, way to keep your head up Hudler. As for the "fight", I score it a draw.

Those of you voting for Phaneuf must be - at least - half blind. Not much of a fight, I agree. But you can hardly say Phaneuf got it.

I can't believe the votes for Phaneuf! What exactly did he do???

I was at this game and I'll say this. Phaneuf has the ability to play all phases of the game (offense, defense, physical) and I will admit he sometimes plays borderline dirty. Personally, I don't mind him playing this way because it's old school and I wish there were more guys willing to play physical and hard instead of finesse. Phaneuf and a few other Flames guys ran the Wings all night long into the boards and hacked and wacked and no one from Detroit would do anything about it (as usual). I'm NOT a Wings fan I was simply invited to the game. The Wings can score but when it comes to protecting their players and playing physical, forget about it. Wings hockey = Holiday on Ice.

"phaneuf is turning into a poor man's Chris Chelios? An average defenseman who is becoming known as a dirty player. "
Are you on crack buddy? how about a future Norris winner known for bone crushing body checks!
The hit was a monster, fight was crap. How could anyone score the win for Lilja he did not land a single punch.

Phaneuf was only one who wants to throw, but the problem, he didn't land a punch.
Maybe one, but falls on short.
Lilja went quickly for the takedown.
Phaneuf didn't throw much.
A draw.

Draw. Dirty hit by Phaneuf started it. He left his feet to deliver hit. He always goes after smaller players. It'll be great when someone beats him half to death.

awesome for Lilja to stand up for his team.

that's what i love about hockey so much.

and Phaneuf knew too.
he knew he had to answer to somebody.

good stuff.

Hey....I'm just happy that the wings have a few guys willing to drop the gloves this year. They may not be the flyers, but Drake (when healthy) , Downey, Lilja, Kopecky, and Meech can all throw down when need be. You have to be able to actually play a little to make the wings as a tough guy. i didn't see either of them land a clean blow and Dion's head smacked the ice when they fell....a draw.

Go Wings!

best hit was the check, that was a nice hit. The fight was crap, I give a gold star to Lilja for sticking up for his team mate, even if it was with the "do I have to?" mentality
