McCormick and Godard drop them right on the whistle. McCormick lands four pretty decent shots before Godard takes him down. They are starting to get back up and keep fighting, but the linesmen broke it up. Too bad, because it looked like things were going to get good too.

I give McCormick the nod because he was landing blows and Godard was turtling a bit.

Godard's uppercut didn't come too late, though.
A draw.

Not much of a fight. I suspect that McCormick knows what would happen if he looked Godard in the eye, and they began 10 feet apart at centre ice, so he got in a flurry of rabbit punches and hoped the fight would end after that...it did.

McCORMICK LITERALLY CAME OUT SWINGING, PERHAPS SURPRISING GODARD A BIT! GODARD RECOVERED NICELY TO MAKE IT PRETTY CLOSE FOR A QUICK FIGHT. I DON''T EVEN KNOW WHO THIS McCORMICK KID IS, BUT HE SURE LOOKS TOUGH...

Haha! who the hell is Cody McCormick? goddard is as tough as they come but he struggles with aggressive fighters (Colton Orr busted him up twice). he didn't really have a chance in this one though as McCormick was throwing before goddard could even get his gloves off.

Godard tried to push McCormick around and wasn't ready for that. Don't go looking for a fight if your not ready. Good for McCormick it looked good on Godard. Nice cheap shot at the end Godard!

McCormick quickness gets the nod here.

McCormick wins a close one... the only punch Godard throws is a cheap uppercut at the end. Not usually something he does.

Awesome fight for McCormick we need that with Lappy hurt.

Godard instigates with a cross-check, then seems surprised when McCormick jumps him. There did not appear to be any strong directly connecting punches, but it was all McCormick.

Garbage fight. McCormick knew he couldn't give Godard any room to position himself or he'd lose all his teeth. Draw, no damage done in any direction.

Props to McCormick for even stepping into it, for a guy who fought Warrener, Chris Clark, and Iginla in years previous, this is a big jump up the Flames line of knuckles.
