This fight started over a little too-close-for-comfort play that involved the GWT goalie, Dan Turple. I believe Stoesz was trying to get at Gajda but Elliot stopped him from doing so.

At first they just appeared to be hugging but Elliot got one of his arms free and beaned Stoesz a couple of good times. Stoesz, for his part, only got in a few pot shots.

At one point, I thought Elliot was gonna totally shirt Steosz but he never did get the jersey fully over his head. Stoesz stumbled but never truly went down...the minute he stumbled the linesmen stepped in.

I initially wasn't very thrilled about the entire fight until I checked out my program. I know Stoesz isn't huge but the way he commits to any fight you'd think he was a heavyweight champion.

All-in-all, considering the size differences, I think Stoesz did fairly well.

As listed in the "Game Time" program last night:
Brandon Elliot = 6'4", 225 lbs
Myles Stoesz = 6'1", 184 lbs
