Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off near the blueline. They grab ahold of each other and immediately start going toe-to-toe with lefts. Asham goes down to a knee, but gets back up after a moment. They start going toe-to-toe with lefts once more until Asham finally lands one that sends Cote down to the ice. Asham falls on top of Cote and the linesmen jump in as well.

Pushed off balanced and finished with a punch. Not a knockdown.

Asham won this fight. Cote landed some good short punches at the start of the fight, but the shots Asham landed in the beginning were better. The knockdown was fairly legit because Cote got rocked with a right a second before falling back on his ass.

Or maybe I just see it this way because I hate the Flyers....

Cote sucks.

I can't give that as a win to Asham despite the one good punch he landed. Cote landed about 8 to his 1 or 2. I gave it a draw. Asham sucks and so do the Devils.

Good Tussle! Was leaning towards Cote until Asham jerked Cote's brain.

I'm a Devils fan and I give this one to Cote.
Throwing them with your head down and putting your helmet forward isn't a great fight. Also just because Asham fell on top doesn't mean he won.

How the hell can anyone call this a KD? Cote clearly lost his balance, he was still throwing punches as he was falling.

They looked like Rockin Sockin Robots. Cote early on but Asham won this spirited bout and the end.

Cote clearly won, give me a break. Just because he lost his balance, doesn't mean he was knocked down or that Asham gets the take down. 99% of Asham's punches missed.
