Excellent fight!! I can't give either guy a loss in this bout, so I call it a draw. They actually hit each other with 4-5 shots that connected...lots of bombs from Booger but none connected. Godard showed why he holds down a job in the NHL...what a way to make a living!!

godard has a wicked fast uppercut, even boogy keeps his distance. always fun to watch these two scrap. call this one a draw.

Boogie was really looking for redemption after a couple of beat downs last year. You could tell he was pissed. Obviously he's strong, he's 6'7" and 260, but Goddard is a strong SOB. Both guys know how to throw, as a viewer I'd like to see them get a little less defensive, but they're better than some of these so called fighters nowadays. I voted a draw. Can't wait for a rematch, I look forward to these two going again. They're big, strong and have a history of hate.

A great tilt by 2 Heavyweights. I would give the slight edge to Godard. Those saying Godard has no class ought to check out their 2nd fight from last season when Boogaard threw 2 shots at Godard after they were on the ice. Wouldn't see Godard do that.

Pretty even, both fighters threw an even amount of punches, Boogaard lands a nasty one sending Godard's helmet flying, but Godard lands a nasty left....and also it appears that Boogaard is cut

Is the whole Boogaard family register on this site? No way Boogaard won this fight who ever is voting for Boogaard is clueless.

Good hard scrap. No one landed anything more significant than the other so I don't see how you can give either guy the W. It's a draw.

I've watched this one a few times, and my opinion now is that Godard is a pretty masterful defensive fighter. He has Boogaard figured out, to the point that he knows he just has to turn and duck a little, and the best Boogaard is going to do is hit the back of his helmet and/or skull (which is ok - go ahead and break your knuckles on either). But he still gets pretty powerful, short lefts in almost at will (the Bruce Lee short punch). And if either right or left is free, it's a major league bomb.

People who think he is cheap are morons, or south of the border homers who don't understand hockey. You only need to review his past fights on here to see Godard can seriously rock someone, but stands down when he's won. Even in the infamous KO to Boogard, he gave him a mercy throw down on the ice, rather than keep feeding him his lunch. This is totally unlike Boogaard, who chose to throw punches when the refs are piled on his his opponents back, who also had his jersey over his head (oh ya, remember that one?).

The fight with Jody Shelley is a good example of Godard's class... he tagged him with one of his wicked rights, then stopped really fighting, because he knew he beat him, and hurt him. Watch the clip, or several others. When Godard's won, he'll tap the guy on the back (tapping out for him, I guess) and share a chuckle. Maybe a beer after the game.

I can't believe that I had tickets to this game, but opted not to go because I decided to go deer hunting that weekend!
