Both combatants are skilled in defensive tactics which resulted in a long bout consisting of sweater grabbing and missed shots. A haymaker by Boogaard did send Godard's helmet flying at one point which likely resulted in the cut that forced Boogaard to miss the rest of the game.
A better showing by Boogaard who was roundly humiliated in Calgary in January, but nothing close to a clear victory by either fighter.
I was actually at the game right on the glass when this fights happened..i mean this one went for ever.. and godard got knocked on his ass at the end !! Boogaard finally really showed this cat his litter box !! About time !! Way to go BOOGEYMAN !! Where was the bloody nose PAYDAY ?? I never saw nothin and i was at the game !! his hand was open from the dj king fight and not from godard..just reopened..cause king never took his helmet off..and red ur a frickin retard !! The wild are far from crap!! By the way the only blood on boogaard was from his cut hand, in which he did aginst king while he was beating on him
a suggestion to all, if you review a fight , review the fight and leave the childish stuff out. Save that for a forum where you can argue endlessly.
If the guy is on your favorite team, say so, everyone has their favorites and that's great ,but it does color your opinion. On the reviews , be impartial then go to the forum and vent your anger on other reviews.
Boogie is good at what he does but is lacking as an overall player.
Boogie was really looking for redemption after a couple of beat downs last year. You could tell he was pissed. Obviously he's strong, he's 6'7" and 260, but Goddard is a strong SOB. Both guys know how to throw, as a viewer I'd like to see them get a little less defensive, but they're better than some of these so called fighters nowadays. I voted a draw. Can't wait for a rematch, I look forward to these two going again. They're big, strong and have a history of hate.
