Laraque wins. Don't get fooled by the hail mary punch by Brashear. Big George wasn't hurt, just surprised. Most of the fight was a beat down.

Brashear drops Laraque at the end for the knock down win.. Up until that point Laraque was dominating the fight..

I don't know how to score this anything but a draw. Great fight, BGL dominated early, and Brashear finished with a left and the KD. Great fight, BGL, got in more punches, but Brashear got the KD punch.

Great fight between two great fighter. Close to draw, but Laraque wins. Laraque is true gentlemen and give Brashear second change with helping with up and Brashear use it well. But points to Laraque with great and gentlemen fight. Nice fight, i like both of these guys.

George beat Brashear to the ice twice and let him up twice. Props to Brashear for coming back but clear win for George.

Why aren't the refs in there when Brashear is down?... Laraque lets up (the "code," I guess) and Brashear gets up and lands two glancing blows to Laraque's helmet. Other than that, it was domination. I don't see how anyone could vote for Brash here.
On another note, the whole "code" about not swinging while a guy is down seems to be a pretty recent phenomenon. Check out some of the old fights/brawls on youtube from the 70's and 80's... those guys would pound you until the refs pulled you away.

and also, Laraque had about 8 punches equal to Brashears last punch.

A truly good heavyweight bout. Laraque definitely got the better in the early going--as he kept Brashear off-balance. But the force of Brashear's punches were definitely much more powerful than Laraque's--and resulted in a TKO!

GLR IS STILL THE BEST!! I'M GLAD SOMEONE FINALLY SMACKED BRASHEAR AROUND. BRASHEAR'S PUNCHES WERE GOOD BUT THEY WERE ALL HELMET AND OFF BALANCE BY GLR. GLR HAS THE BEST BALANCE OF ALL FIGHTERS.

Laraque hit Brashear with some bombs in the beginning and when Brash went down he backed off and let him get up. Mistake by Goerges. Still give it ti Laraque. Great fight by both huge men.
