Pretty good fight between a couple of heavyweights. Neither guy inflicted much damage as they each traded pretty even on punches, but Parros was able to control this fight and keep Booger off balance for a good part of the fight...as evidenced at the end. I give the slightest of margins to Parros in this fight, but it could realistically be called a draw and you wouldn't be wrong.

I don't see how anybody can give Boogaard the victory, a draw maybe, but he definitely didn't deserve to win. It goes to show you how many Boogaard homers there are on this site, it's pretty ridiculous.

Win Parros.

Win to Geroge Parros. Boogaard looked unbalanced and it seems that fighters are learning to defend against the right handed punch from Derek.

hard to believe Parros has better balance than anyone but in this fight Derek never seemed get under control....very even with a slight edge Parros.

Big George stepped up and did his job and the league found out that the ducks are going to play tough and not back down again this year. I wish every team would follow suit but not likely in "your sisters NHL"

Parros whose up and down comes off a loss to Scott Thornton by upsetting a top 3 guy. Nice showing and a smart fight for G.P. No real damage and close to a draw but not a good showing for Boogaard.

Derek Boogaard vs George Parros

Boogaard runs into Giguere, and Parros comes over behind the play and they drop the gloves. Boogaard starts off with an overhand right, hitting Parros' helmet. Boogaard throws another right, and Parros counters, causing Boogaard to lose his balance, falling to his knees. He gets right back up, and Parros rips his helmet off. Parros throws a right, then they both exchange rights, all missing. Whiles they are exchanging, Boogaard loses his balance, falling to the ice with Parros on top, and the linesmen intervene.

Neither guy landed anything of note. Derek with a few to the back of the head early, and Parros with a few grazing shots later...

Bad balance in this one from Boogs.

Parros gets it. Booger ain't been doing too good lately.
