May was a marked man after his cheap shot on Johnsson in playoffs last year. Nice to see him step up when called out by Boogaard.

"we'll call this a draw?"

i'll call it a win for boogard - they have mostly been body shots but they were still punches being thrown and making contact.

This will piss off Booger fans somethin fierce but if you know me by now, I don't care.

Boogard is a big fat slob who is bigger than every single one of his opponents. He should dominate a guy like May who is no slouch but a little long in the tooth for front line enforcing. Boo should have killed him but May nailed and bloodied him and while clearly outmatched and dominated, May fought a smart fight, staying away. Who wouldn't?

Draw-which means Boogaard loses. I don't care if you don't agree because that's the facts of fighting. Boogaard didn't win, hence, he loses.

May has to face the music for what he did in the playoffs last year and he didn't. He held on for dear life and as far away from Boogaard as possible

may took his licks, boogaard just chopped him down like a tree though

Derek Boogaard vs Brad May

These two line up beside each other on the faceoff. At the drop of the puck, these two drop their gloves and square off. They grab on, and each throw a weak right. Each combatant is waiting for the perfect chance, and Boogaard switches to his left, throwing a few of them. Boogaard throws two more rights, ripping May's helmet off, and May counters with another right. Boogaard throws another right to the back of May's head, followed by an uppercut, that looked to have missed. Boogaard then throws 6 body punches, and May responds with an overhand right. Boogaard throws a few more rights, knocking May to his knees. May gets back up while Boogaard is still throwing punches, and the linesmen come in.

Boogaard had no problem with May in this tilt.

Win to Boogie. May spent most of the fight trying not get hit, but he did do the honorable thing by dropping his mitts.

Boogaard controlled at May, but May hung in there very well.
Not a clear win to me.
A clear narrow win.
Yup May is tough pound for pound.

What was May thinking...obviously something along the lines of "help".

May got what he deserved for the cheapshot on Johnnson.
Boogaard won easily

Props to May. I'm surprised Derek didn't step it up a notch- May held his own and gave up 65 pounds and 6 inches.

BRAD MAY SHOWED ME WHY HE IS BRAD MAY. TOUGH GUTTSY AND A SMART FIGHTER. SOME MIGHT SAY HE LOST STRAIGHT OUT, BUT HE FOUGHT A SMART FIGHT AGAINST ONE OF THE BEST AND CAME OUT W/ A SCRATCH WHILE BOOG CAME OUT BLOODIED. I CALL IT DRAW.

This is by no means a domination by boogaard. Brad May is giving up something like 60+ pounds and several inches..
