Oct 11, 2007 Phoenix Coyotes Daniel Carcillo
3pd 10:13 Nashville Predators Scott Nichol
Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and Nichol comes charging at Carcillo. Carcillo throws a right and Nichol goes down to his knees for a moment. He gets back up and takes another right from Carcillo. They then go toe-to-toe with rights for a couple of seconds until Nichol falls to the ice once again. Carcillo gets in a few rights while they are down but the linesmen quickly step in and separate the two.

To me, Carcillo wins this lightheavy battle. Better balance and he never stopped throwing his right. Good, spirited, fast fight.

Short and sweet. Carcillo landed more shots and Nichol never did have good balance.

Now THATS what Im talking about. Both guys throwing bombs. Both landed a few good shots. This was a draw. But it was an exciting draw. Love to see that.

Carcillo all the way on this one. He's a wild puncher but he's getting better.

Nichol lost narrowly this one, because he landed two really good punches.
His first one was a huge.
It was Carcillo's lucky when Nichol lost his balance.
A very short, but aggressive scrap.

Lightweight and middleweight fights are always the best. It's nice to not see a hug fest or chess match. Just throw 'em and spit your teeth out after.

Hats off to Scott for squaring off with Carcillo, but he got tagged pretty good in this fight. If Carcillo is trying to establish himself as the Coyote enforcer in the absence of Josh "I wish I could skate" Gratton, he needs to find bigger fish to fry. Come on, beating up on a smaller dude like Nichol who is 5'8" and 170 soaking wet does not count !!

WIN Carcillo. Nichol got some big shots in though.

Lots of energy, nice to see some young bucs (at least they act that way) going at it. Carcillo Win.

Nichol is a little man who will go for it. Didn't work for him this time.
