A great fight from a player who rarely fights (Kovalchuk). When he gets mad, look out...you may well see something like this!

Why did they even bother dropping the gloves?

The Buffalo homer announcers talk about "his (Kovy's) shadow winning" but he stuck up for his teammate and landed the only blows in the scrap.
Thrashers need grit!

Absolutely love how Kovalchuk immediately jerseys Stafford and just throws. Obviously doesn't know how to do too well, but you gotta love the Grimsonesque move.

This was nothing but humorous but it's always fun to see a "star" get aggressive like that.

They each got 5 for fighting the only thing Kovalchuk should have gotten was 2 mins for losing his jersey.Kovalchuk cant fight anyway.Lame!

Buffalo Announcers are as bad as there fans. Kovy has been in a few scraps and I have never seen him hit. The whole city of Buffalo as well as its team lacks character.
