Toni Lydman sends Todd White flying with a hip on knee hit. Kovalchuk quickly goes after Lydman, but is pushed down to the ice by Stafford. Kovalchuk gets back to his feet and grabs Stafford. They drop the gloves and Kovalchuk throws two rights at a bent over Stafford. Stafford fires back with a right. Kovalchuk gets in two more rights while Stafford falls to the ice.

stafford probably would have kicked the crap out of kovy if kovy didnt get the gloves off and pulled jersey'd stafford before he got the gloves off. nothing but a draw here folks

Absolutely love how Kovalchuk immediately jerseys Stafford and just throws. Obviously doesn't know how to do too well, but you gotta love the Grimsonesque move.

The Buffalo homer announcers talk about "his (Kovy's) shadow winning" but he stuck up for his teammate and landed the only blows in the scrap.

I hesitated between Draw and Kovalchuk because Stafford wasnt expecting that.. But Kovalchuk won

how can you **** say thats a fight and a win you Kova........? nothing landed except one right that hit staffords shoulder!!!!! clean hit also, th eonly reason staff lost his jersey is because Kova was ripping it off the give staff a good eastern euro hump n' dump
