Oct 10, 2007 San Jose Sharks Rob Davison
1pd 11:53 Chicago Blackhawks Martin Lapointe
Comments: Davison knocks Adam Burish down with a hit along the benches, causing Lapointe to challenge him. They drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other at center ice. Lapointe attempts a few locked-out rights, but can't get anything going. Davison misses with a right over the top. They go back and forth with quick rights while each fighter tries to tie the other one up. They come together in close quarters and wrestle around until Davison slams Lapointe to the ice.

Even though it wasnt too exciting, Davison gets the edge here. Marty never really landed anything. And Davison landed atleast 2 good shots. Could have been a draw if Marty would have landed just one. But since he didnt, the win goes to Rob Davison.

Slight edge to Davison because Lapointe didn't look like he wanted to be in the fight and Davison threw and landed more punches.

Lapointe started well but was outclassed, Davison gets the win on this one.

These two have fought before. I give the decision to Davison because he landed more. Davison landed a big punch and after that punch then Lapointe tried to hold on and take down Davison.

I still can't believe the Bruins once gave Lapointe a 5yr/5 million$ deal...YGBSM!! He needs to retire and open a position for a young guy with some drive to play the game! Lapointe isn't out there for his goal scoring prowess, so if he can't get it done in the tough guy role, well, like I said, he needs to retire!! It was embarrassing the way he held onto Davison for dear life...grow some pride Lapointe!!

Davison lands some more and more damaging shots, Lapointe just grabs on at the end and wrestles him down to end the fight - Good spirit by Lapointe, stepping up to the MUCH larger and stronger Davison

Great hit by Davison followed by a good spirited fight. Luckily for Lapointe he had his left arm up to prevent Davison from doing some crazy damage with some righties. Edge to Davison.

draw. Davison's got a pretty cool head, you just don't want him to lose it

i think that davison gets the nod for sure..ive had him on my radar since last year after he demolished gratton and scatchard...i would like to see him up against a bigger tougher heavyweight

I called a draw. One very good right hand apiece. I agree that Lapointe didn't want anything to do with Davidson at the end.

Davison is bit better fighter than M.Lapointe.
A good show by both player.
Solid bout, which Davison controlled more.
Davison got the best punch of the fight, that hits flush to the target.
They landed about same amount of punches.
Davison goes for the takedown, but Lapointe gets on top of him.
I put a narrow win to Davison for the outcome, but i haven't nothing against a draw.

what ever happened to marty lapointe? he used to throw em, now hes like mini-laraque, throws five punches and tries to wrestle the guy down. until he put the deathlock on davison, it was beginning to look like marty was gonna start eatin some

Davison is much larger than Marty. That said I think Marty landed a few solid punches before he wrestled him to the ground, which is impressive considering he's throwing his punches upward. good spirited fight by the Hawks captain

More punches to the empty jerseys. Davidson just because he clocked someone near the boards.
