Edge to Thornton in this one as he landed more on Parros.

They square off behind the play. Good square off, then Thornton begins with a flurry of punches, not much landing. Parros gets 1 or 2 in and then loses his balance and falls, but gets right back up. After parros gets up from the ice thornton feeds him about 5 quick lefts, then a very good uppercut that lands flush on parros's face, and then switches hands and gets a couple more in. Parros did come back at the end with a couple of his own but not enough to make it a draw or edge in my opinion.

Thornton landed more. Pretty close overall but slight edge to Scotty. Stache seemed to be fumbling a bit.

Yup, Thornton landed more punches here.
He changed well his hands.
Clear narrow win for Scott Thornton.

The underrated Thornton edges the established enforcer. Thornton's always been a tough guy to beat and Parros is up and down so it's not a major suprise but still would be classified as an upset as Parros was top 10 last season.

Scott Thornton vs George Parros

These two drop the gloves inside the blueline, and square off near center ice. They eventually grab on, and Thornton starts it off with two overhand rights, and Parros responds with a right, while falling to his knees, but gets back up before the linesmen intervene. Thornton switches to his left, connecting with a couple of them, then throws a couple more rights. Then, Parros throws a flurry of rights, as Thornton is throwing the lefts. Thornton throws a few more rights, hitting Parros' helmet, then Parros throws a few more rights, as Thornton's helmet falls off. Parros throws a couple more rights, wrestling Thornton to the ice, and the linesmen intervene.

Way to go Thornton!! Not only did Scott throw down on Parros, but he can actually play the game of hockey, unlike his opponent!! Parros should really contemplate putting that Princeton education to good use!!

I expected more from Parros but Thornton has been doing this longer. It didn't look like Parros was ready.

Thorton bloodied the Porn Star and got in better harder punches.
I hope the blood did not stain the stache.

Parros stunned twice in the fight and did not land but a few weak punches, but got the take-down.
