Jan 5, 2002 Washington Capitals Stephen Peat
2pd 12:21 Boston Bruins P.J. Stock
They shove each other, waiting for the play to go further up ice before dropping the gloves and grabbing ahold of each other. Peat lands a right cross with Stock returning fire in the form of a right jab. Stock switches hands and the two go toe-to-toe with rapid fire punches: Stock with the left; Peat with the right. Stock continues to throw quick lefts while Peat stops throwing and ducks his head down. Both fighters switch hands and start going toe-to-toe with punches once again, each landing numerous shots. Peat throws two rights to the back of Stock's head followed by seven straight lefts while Stock answers the favor by throwing three more quick rights. The two exchange punches inside just before they start going toe-to-toe once more. The two tire out soon after, allowing the linesman to skate in and separate the two. Stock waves to the crowd, which gives both fighters a standing ovation.

It's hard to give out a winner here, both connecting and both taking um, Wow.

One of the best fight all the time.
Toe to toe fight where looked Stock about bit better, not enough for the edge.
No soft punches here.
Stock started well, but Peat also but ate more punches early on.
About middle part Peat comesback but again took punches by Stovk.
In the end Peat took over but Stovk fired still away a few for the answer.

not the fight of the decade, though.

That was a great fight. Both guys were landing a ton of shots. I gave Stock a slight edge because he landed more in the middle stages of the fight. Those two were out to knock the stuffing out of each other.

I always root for the little guy but Peat survived the early barrage by PJ and then he did some damage with the left that opened up Stock.
One of the all time great fights in any decade. A little like McPhee-Tochect. Butchered name but you get the point???
DRAW??? Maybe Stock by a pubie!!!

Slight win to stock, was consistent in landing punches thrown, Peat through a lot, but ate more than he landed

eoe, what a fight. Had not seen that one. I have become a PJ fan the last year or so and that has to be his fave of mine that I've seen. Great bout, both parties game, and PJ got the crowd fired up after as if his pugilistic display wasn't enough...

Best fight ever. Not just the intensity but the fact that both guys were throwing them and it was never entirely clear who was going to win. Decision Stock by the narrowest of margins.
