Nov 20, 2001 Colorado Avalanche Rick Berry
3pd 09:54 New York Rangers David Karpa
Midway through the third, Berry knocks down Karpa for a tripping penalty. Berry gets engaged by a few guys but nothing happens. On the way to the box, Karpa challenges him and they drop the gloves. Not much at first as Karpa can't reach with the right and Berry is landing grazing rights. Berry throws some short left jabs (Langdon style) and Karpa gets in tight. Berry looks done but Karpa is working real hard to get the right out of the sweater and throw some more. Linesmen stay out, Karpa tries a few more rights, then Berry lands two very clean punches, stunning Karpa. The linesmen then jump in. Other Penalties: Berry received a tripping.
