Apr 03, 2007 Edmonton Oilers Zack Stortini
3pd 05:55 Minnesota Wild Derek Boogaard
Comments: Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other at center ice. They grapple in-tight and Stortini throws two short lefts to the side of Boogaard's head. They take each other's helmets off and continue to wrestle around in close quarters. Stortini throws an overhand right and Boogaard responds with a right to the back of a bent over Stortini's head. Boogaard gets in an uppercut followed by two more rights to a still bent over Stortini. Stortini attempts a single-leg takedown on Boogaard, but Boogaard is able to keep his balance. Stortini connects with a right just before he loses his balance and falls to the ice. Boogaard goes down with him and gets in a right just as the linesmen are jumping on top of the two.

I was there last night to see a wanna be talk trash to anyone who skated by his bench. Boogeyman just got sick of hearing the three-legged dog yap. Looked like he was trying to kiss him

Stortini is terrible, not sure why he even fights, why drop the gloves and then grab a guy and hang on for dear life. Then he try's a single leg take down cause he gets panicked when boogaard gets a little loose. Stortini is not a heavy weight contender.

Seemed a wrestlingmatch rather than classic fight. Boogeyman took obvious victory and couple of blasting shots. Looks like boogeyman´s getting into a good shape after short dull period. He´s one heck of a tough man.

any "tough-guy" attempting the single-leg takedown needs to stop dropping the gloves. stortini is a huge dissappointment for the hype that surrounded him coming into the league.

Stortini realized what he was up against when he felt that first shot and his only chance was to puss out and try to take Boogaard down like it was a wrestling match. Although it violates the code I'm glad Boogaard threw one more when they were down. Nobody beats the Boogeyman!

Boogs beat him down... Storini looked scared and didn't really want to exchange blows.

Stortini held on for his life, he should have fought my Grandmother instead !

Were they necking at the start?

The only fighting chance Stortini has is if he enters the 'Ugliest Man Alive' contest where I'm sure he'd win it all.

It must be the new game to 'dance' with boogaard for a round. Stortini didn't really want to fight.

a lot of wrestling in this one- but once again the boogieman's size and strength prove to be too much to overcome as Stortini held on for dear life as he started to loose his balance.

If Stortini needs a hug he should call his grandma. Why drop 'em?

To all the Stortini haters i've watched him threw his hockey career and his laid out a lot of people and dont be hating on him to much because in a few more years he will be a great fighter

Saw the Oilers coach talking about Stortini - saying he has done a good job - he can protect guys - but he doesnt want him to fight the heavy weights like boogaard. Should have listened to your coach buddy - he should have fought Bouchard or Gaborik the way he fights.
