Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Apr 03, 2007 Edmonton Oilers Zack Stortini
3pd 05:55 Minnesota Wild Derek Boogaard
Comments: Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other at center ice. They grapple in-tight and Stortini throws two short lefts to the side of Boogaard's head. They take each other's helmets off and continue to wrestle around in close quarters. Stortini throws an overhand right and Boogaard responds with a right to the back of a bent over Stortini's head. Boogaard gets in an uppercut followed by two more rights to a still bent over Stortini. Stortini attempts a single-leg takedown on Boogaard, but Boogaard is able to keep his balance. Stortini connects with a right just before he loses his balance and falls to the ice. Boogaard goes down with him and gets in a right just as the linesmen are jumping on top of the two.

All this Stortini hating is going to make things worse. Stortini needs love. He's not looking for fights, he's looking for someone to hug, and maybe a leg to hump if the option comes up. Maybe if we stop hating him, and say sweet nothings instead, he'll have enough love that he won't need to hug on the ice.

Stortini is a homo and so is the femme that voted for him.

Again boogie, I'm not impressed. You should have destroyed this homo. Nice hugs Stortini. Lack of punches Boogie wins but lame very lame.

Not a fan of boogaard, but he gets the nod here thanks to the always pathetic stortini, I can't beleive I was almost excited about his fight. BTW those 2 who voted for stortini you need to hang up your keyboard as bad as zac needs to hang up the skates.

Scumbag move by stortini trying to trip BOogaard. If he is gonna fight, throw punches. Thats how someone gets hurt, doing **** like that.

Boogaard in a big win. Not even close.

Why does Stortini even bother? A win, but not domination for Boogaard like he could of had with this guy.

Booger wins, easily. Same teams play on Thursday night. Think Stortini will want a rematch?

Stortini, holds on for dear life and then goes for the tackle, and somehow proceeds to talk trash while skating off the ice. COuld have been a good fight if Stortini would have actually fought.

Don't know why Sortini even bothers.

After the love-fest is over, it looks like Boogard may have landed a couple before Zack started to hump his leg.

Pretty weak fight between two guys who should have put on a better show.

Slight edge to Booger.

Zack is counting his lucky stars. Give him credit for even trying, and quit dissing him unless of course you have fought a guy 6'7 270lb's in front of his 18000 fans!!!

crap fight ... Stortini is an embarrassment ... send him to a Senior league where he would get his head handed to him in a bag .. always F***ing yapping ..NHL protects pretnders like him ... in Sept. while we were watching our sons in try-outs, I told K. Lowe to trade for DJ King who was then in Peoria ... Reply was "Who is he?" I told him that by the end of the season you won't be able to pry him from St. Louis . ... Well what do I know ...

STORTINI WAS GLAD IT ENDED THE WAY IT DID.
