Apr 03, 2007 Edmonton Oilers Patrick Thoresen
2pd 08:51 Minnesota Wild Branko Radivojevic
Comments: Niklas Backstrom stops a Toby Petersen shot and a scrum develops to the side of the Wild net just as the whistle blows to stop play. Thoresen and Radivojevic get the sticks up on the side and then drop the gloves. Radivojevic starts things off with a flurry of six rights and an uppercut to a bent over Thoresen. Thoresen stops Radivojevic from throwing by connecting with a blind overhand right that knocks Radivojevic's helmet loose. Radivojevic goes down to his knees for a moment, but is able to work his way back to his feet. They each throw two rights while spinning around. Thoresen throws another right to the back of Radivojevic's head. Thoresen then gets turned around and turtles to the ice with Radivojevic getting in a right just before the linesmen come in and break things up.

In 2006, two of Branko's biggest supporters started the Branko Fan Club, in honor of his amazing skill. Since then, the organization has skyrocketed in membership, increasing a vast 25% in just almost a year, giving the group 2.5 members. This is the largest known support group for any professional athlete born in Czechoslovakia born on November 24th who had 4 penalty minutes in 2001-02. They even gave him his own cheer.

Branko Fight Song Hail Branko, Hail Branko May all Flyers fans fear his name. Hail Branko, Hail Branko He goes down in hockey fame For he was the one who was a Sabres fan And hates guys like Mikey who isn't by the way a man Hail Branko, Hail Branko Till his greatness ring again GOOOOOO Branko!

Personally i didin't see a beatdown. Branko was more active no doubt and probably gets a close win but Thoresen landed the best punch of the fight that stunned branko. Close win to branko.

Radivojevic definetely won this one. He had a huge size advantage though so you have to give credit to Thoresen for hanging in but he was never really going to get very far and just had to hang on for the ride. Nevertheless he did land a few shots.

Thoresen bit off a little more than he can chew. He chews fists pretty good though.
