Comments: A scrum develops in front of the Bruins' net and out of it comes Wideman and Latendresse pushing and shoving. They drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other behind the net while the sea of players moves towards them. Wideman throws an uppercut and an overhand right just before he loses his balance and is hip-tossed to the ice by Latendresse. Latendresse gets in a short right while Wideman is down. Wideman gets back up to his feet and Latendresse gets Wideman's jersey up and over his head. Latendresse gets in a short right just as the linesmen start to come in. One of the linesmen grabs Latendresse from behind, but Wideman starts throwing rights and he quickly lets go. Latendresse returns fire with two of his own and then pushes Wideman into the boards. Wideman's jersey comes down and he connects with a short right to the side of Latendresse's head. They exchange a few short rights in tight until they decide to stop throwing and let the linesmen intervene.

Latendresse is a big strong kid but he isn't a fighter. I've watched both these kids since junior and if Latendresse isn't wearing the visor, he get's cleaned. I called it a draw because Guillaume didn't want to fight when he lost his bonnet.

Latendresse should have taken is helmet off, the big ***** is only hiding behind it, once Wideman had it off he held on for dear life, typical Montreal Canadian...Big tough guys until they lose the sheilds...

For an unexpected fight, pretty entertaining. People really have to settle down with their "clearly" comments on a fight like this. There is no clear winner at all. Latendresse takes down Wideman, they restart, they trade a few non-damaging punches and the linesmen come in. Clearly a draw. Pay attention boys. You're better than that.

You really see how strong Latendresse is in this fight... Not much of a fighter, but man is he strong.

How can you people say that Lantendress won that fight??? From what I saw Latendress tried to use his size to simply pin Wideman to the ice because he doesn't know how to fight. Then Wideman got up and started smaking Lantendress in the visor even with his jersey over his head. So Lantendress quickly realized that his size wasn't going to win him the fight. So he pulled Wideman in close and hugged him so he wouldn't take anymore to the head. I don't know about u guys but it looked to me like Wideman wanted to win the fight and Lantendress did everything he coultd not to lose it.

pretty good fight for our 18 year old, and hell only get better. I was hoping to see this though a lot earlier in the season, now we're just waiting on lappys first fight

Latendresse was better, but not enough to take Wideman down.

Another montreal guy fighting with a visor which is a definite advantage in a fight. I call it a draw, not sure how many punches either fighter actually landed, but nice to see a fight spawn from intensity instead of predetermined fights which often suck.

Surprisingly, not a bad little bout. The linesman should have kept his sorry as* out of it.

Both guys landed some nice punches and kept on throwing until they were worn out.

I call it a draw.

very good fight, I have to give Latendresse the win because he got the sweater and widemans helmet off first and got some very good shots in. But Wideman came back in the end and got some good shots in.

Wideman got the votes at dropyourgloves. Cant see how. clear win for Latendresse. He didn't land any effective punches, but he physically controlled the fight.

A lot of comments for wideman here... cant see it. I'm a Bruins fan. The last thing I want to do is vote for a Canadien. But it is what it is. Wideman was outmatched by a bigger guy. He couldn't keep his balance and fell. When he was allowed back up he lands a couple, then gets bear-hugged "Neely" style and cant get free.
