2pd 09:51 Florida Panthers Steve Montador
These two tie up near the Panthers' net. As the puck moves up the ice they drop the gloves and square off. Neil takes a righty stance, Montador a southpaw. Montador grabs Neil and quickly lands a couple of lefts. Neil grabs Montador and gets his helmet off as they begin to grapple. They grapple and Neil attempts a couple of rights, then lefts, but he can't get his arm free enough to throw a full punch. Montador throws a right that Neil avoids. Montador starts to go down from the momentum and Neil turns him around. Montador gets up and Neil throws a big right that lands on Montador's back as Montador falls again. This time Montador makes it to the ice and Neil lands on top. The linesmen come in and break it up.

Hey golfingsince67, since when are Hall Gill and Adam Mair heavyweights?? Gill may be a giant, but he sucks at fighting. Neil does not fight the toughest guys enough to be considered a true heavyweight. I would say he is probably the toughest middleweight out there though. Obviously, McGrattan fights the other teams really tough guys. As for the fight, I give Montador a slight edge, because he landed one really good punch while Neil landed no solid shots (although he did throw Montador around a lot). I have seen better fights.

Montador got two good lefts in at the start. Neil never really connected , but controlled the fight after Montador got the first two in.

montador landed a few good ones then hit the ice, probably good choice by him because neil was just starting to get his arms free, give the win to montador for the 2 lefts at the start

I think a lot of you need to watch that clip again, Montador actually landed punches, Meil just kinda tapped him in the back of the helmet. Yes, Neil overpowered him, yes neil has more experience fighting but he still didn't get any decent hits. Its like a guy in a honda drag racing a guy with a Hemi, the Hemi has more power but if the Honda beats him it doesn't really matter.

Once again Neil proves he's a better cheap shot artist than he is a fighter.

Montador @ the begging with three great rights, a lot of dancing, Neil towards the end. Neither with a huge advantage. Gimmie a draw.

Montador landed the only punches and gets the edge, he's lucky it ended when it did.

GOOD SCRAP MONTADOR STARTED STRONG BUT NEIL CAME BACK AT THE END

No question Neil won this fight, Givc credit to Montador, fighting a guy who never seems to go after real fighters. Neil is still trying to get away from the whole "punch bag neil" nickname, hence the avoidance of real fighters. Up next, Chris Neil vs. Richard Park

Just nice to see Neil get a quick one flush to his face. After that - it was like Montador was thinking - "Oh snap! I hit him, now he's gonna kill me fer sure!". Dummy. Should have kept going.

Neil by rag doll - good on Monty for challenging him tho - nice quick left hook to start

TThe only punches that landed clean were Montador. Throwing someone to the ice doesnt give you a win. Neil spend 3/4 of the fight trying to mess with Montadors jersey, and the other 1/4 throwing glancing blows on his back. Close, but since Montador was the only one to land punches, I give him the win.

Is it my imagination or is Neil on Steroids? I could be wrong but he has certainly improved.
