Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Mar 21, 2007 Philadelphia Flyers Todd Fedoruk
1pd 00:21 New York Rangers Colton Orr
Comments: Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and immediately grab ahold of each other near the side boards with Orr throwing a right while they are locking horns. They exchange simulataneous rights and Orr gets in an overhand right after that. They wrestle around for a short while until Orr gets loose and throws two more rights. Orr then winds up and connects with a straight right that puts Fedoruk to sleep right away. Fedoruk falls motionless to the ice and Orr is quickly escorted to the penalty box. One of the linesman waves for doctors to come out onto the ice. Fedoruk stays down on the ice for a good five minutes and is eventually lifted onto a stretcher with a neck brace and taken to the back.

this is not good i love fighting and i pray every night that we dont lose this great part of our great game.(toughest game on earth) but this will probably be the end of todds career and now amaricans will start to debate weather fighting should be part of the nhl and all i have to say is "if you dont like it go watch basketball because you dont like hockey, and hockey does not need you, and the truth is you are the people that are killing canadian hockey and the way the game should be played. and I know todd agrees.

I have been reading these reviews since this sight has been up and have never responded- until now. Fedoruk is cooked and has been cooked since Boogaard broke his face some months ago.Paul Holmgren picked this guy up to provide some protection to a Flyers team that desperately need some "punch protection". Colton Orr is mediocre at best, and just dominated the poor guy (ie: see most recent Laraque fight). You ******* on the east coast need to get in your Volvo's and head west to the Northern Plains and find out what happens to you when you mouth off too much--smack daddy! The aforementioned Holmer was a tough Minnesota bred cookie until his head became mushy. In the late 70's he would avoid Jack Carlson (best left hand in the history of the NHL-Virginia ,Mn.) like the plague. Holmer should thank this guy (Fedoruk) for his many years of service and cut him loose, for his own good. his (Fedoruk) family will thank him. You bet'cha!
Current NHL Tough Guy Rankings
1. Laraque
2. (tie) Boogaard
2. (tie) Goadard (Cal)

It really irritates me to read some of these reviews. It is evident that half of these guys don't understand the purpose of fighting, or even the game of hockey itself. I'd be willing to bet that 50% of the nay sayers have never been in a fight on the ice or on the ice at all for that matter. Todd Fedoruk is a tough dude. No, he has not been the same since the Boogard fight. Why? Yeah, he got his face and his confidence broken. But fighting is something you have to stay fresh with to be competitive with. All these guys here saying that The Fridge never was a fighter and I do remember one meathead saying that Fedoruk was never famous until he had his orbital bone broken by the Boogey Man. Those statements lack depth, knowledge and research. Fedoruk has delivered some serious a$$ kickings. He's gone up against big tough guys. He's won. He's lost. He's drawed. With last night's fight... coach Stevens threw him on the ice last second. He didn't have a chance to warm up or prepare for that. Holmgren brought Fedoruk to Philly for his intensity in the locker room and on the ice... not just for his fists. He's a tough guy with grit and the Flyers needed that, especially after trading Brash. On a side note, it was good to se Shanahan and Knuble back out on the ice.

Friggin FRIDGE. I loved the guy, but this is embarrassing. Colton Orr, I mean come on. Don't get me wrong, I love Colton Orr but who has he ever hurt. Fedoruk has been known for his strong chin, but as much as I hate to admit it, he's done. I've seen Orr land a good one on "GLASS JOE" McGratten, and he didn't go down like that. CARRIED OFF ON A STRETCHER! He's done.

Todd "the punching bag" Fedoruk is done. Time to retire. Orr's not even that great of a fighter and he smashed Fedoruks face in. I dont feel bad for him though. He got paid back for the dirty hit on Jagr from the last game. Jagr is not a physical player and Fedoruck went head hunting. Fedoruk was very lucky and got away with one when he went with Simon. It caught up with him tonight. Getting your face rearranged twice in one season is a pretty poor showing. It's actually embarrasing to watch.
