Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Mar 21, 2007 Philadelphia Flyers Todd Fedoruk
1pd 00:21 New York Rangers Colton Orr
Comments: Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and immediately grab ahold of each other near the side boards with Orr throwing a right while they are locking horns. They exchange simulataneous rights and Orr gets in an overhand right after that. They wrestle around for a short while until Orr gets loose and throws two more rights. Orr then winds up and connects with a straight right that puts Fedoruk to sleep right away. Fedoruk falls motionless to the ice and Orr is quickly escorted to the penalty box. One of the linesman waves for doctors to come out onto the ice. Fedoruk stays down on the ice for a good five minutes and is eventually lifted onto a stretcher with a neck brace and taken to the back.

FEDORUK SHOULD'VE LEARNED A LESSON FROM BOOGAARD TO COVER UP HIS CHIN. AWESOME K.O. BY ORR, FEDORUK, KEEP YOUR GLOVES ON.

As I said earlier when Boogaard knocked Fedorux out, is that he should get rid of the laces for good. Sorry Todd.

OUCH!!! good to see a good hard blow take down a cheap shot like Fedoruk. Thats twice in one year, Fedoruk may want to choose a different career path, if he can still think clearly.

What a bomb by Orr. Fridge was counting sheep for about 2 minutes. I feel bad for him, but at the same time serves him right for running prucha and Jagr.... this fight was brutal. Time for retirement.

a KO for CO..........nothing else to say but props to rcassett who mentioned the MSG announcing team.....I was sad to JD go after last year but he moved on to bigger things. Joe Michelletti, and Sam Rosen especially, are two of the best announcers around. Sammy's play-by-play commentating can make any game exciting.

Being a flyers fan thats tough to watch. No one wants to see someone get hurt like that, but hell thats hockey, and thats why people watch it haha. Colton orr connected with a bomb and jus, lights out todd. Ever since the boogard happening, fedoruk has not been the same. Maybe the flyers wil bring up Riley Cote??

What a shot by Orr. I feel bad for the Fridge, and hopefully he'll recover and get back to his old ways next year, but this clearly was not his year. Great fight by Orr though.

PS - how did someone vote him winner on this? I mean, I respect Fridge as much as anyone, but he did not win this fight.

PPS - to the person who replied colton orr is "mediocre at best?" orr has beaten mcgrattan, shelley, janssen (twice - inc. preseason), boulton twice, and roy this year. so he couldn't out wrestle brashear, and he lost to BGL. wow, BGL has won every fight he's been in this year, and a case could be made for brashear in every fight he's been in this year except the peters fight (peters wrecked him with one big right). there is no shame in losing to those two guys, and it doesn't make a fighter "mediocre"

PPPS - godard tied for 2nd best in the league? i doubt that. i hate his style, but brashear deserves to be up there.

PPPPS - orr also beat godard twice in 05-06

"Don't get me wrong, I love Colton Orr but who has he ever hurt."

Orr hurt plenty of guys when he was a Bruin: A.Roy (orbital), Belak(nose), Rullier(nose), and Godard(nose).

I'm suprised It took this long to happen in NY.

one of the biggest knock outs ever!

Last time NYR played the Flyers Orr didn't dress and Fedoruk ran at the NYR skill players. Orr did his job and held Fedoruk accountable for his actions. Ferdoruk has two plates in his face from a past scrap and has not been the same since.

colton orr has a problem with balance during his fights but for anyone to say he is not a true heavyweight is absurd. godard twice is a huge accomplishment for anyone . orr has heavy hands and does well when guys stand toe to toe with him.

Fedoruk has been getting hurt too much. Might be time to get into a different occupation.

Fridge has not been the same since he broke his orbital bone.
