Clean hit. c'mon he's leading with his ass no intent on this one. if its a clean hit then why does barch have to go? weak ..barch kind of looked like the fool in the end.

anybody who thinks gauthier did something wrong in this instance is holding past unclean hits against him. for once gauthier comes up with a clean hit. perhaps barch should have stood "toe to toe" with fedoruk (although fedoruk hasn't looked all that great fight-wise).

if only the fight was longer

gauthier doesnt need to fight....thats what fedoruk and eager are there for. gauthier is there to scare people whenever they come into the flyers zone.

Gauthier isn't a fighter...was a clean hit but as has been said here. Words were needed Barch stepped up and dealt them. Barch obviously won that one.

Gauthier deserved that he hits everybody like that then never wants to drop them good for barch

There has been many times Gauthier deserved a wipping, but that was a legal check . Hagman saw him coming all the way. He even tries to jump, which probably knocked Gauthier's helmit off and hurt himself. I guess if you want beat a guy for a legal hit, kudos to Barch. I'm not impressed. If that's the case, they should drop Simon's suspension. Seems people think if a person gives a good check , they need to sustain an ass- whipping. People like Hollweg deserve ass- whippings for dirty checks, not checks like this.

Gauthier is a cheap shot artist who can not back up his style of play. Domi, Tucker, Jansen ... all cheap shot artist who back up their style.

Gauthier reminds me of his boss ... Bobby Clark, he always took cheap shots and let the rest of his goons cover his weakling back. Typical Flyers hockey.

WAS Denis Gauthier TRYING TO CHECK THE GUY OR TRYING TO GET A DATE? HES SUCH A GAY TURTLE

Great hit, but wrecked that dudes knee. He should expect a beating if he hurts another player, intentional or not. Too bad Gauthier is turtled. Why not fight the dude, instead of lookin like a female dog?

mikebflorida is the stupidest guy on this site.

The intent is to take out a guys knees? Do you even know hockey? Its called the classic hip check. Bobby Orr did it the best. Its a legal clean hit and anyone who plays hockey will tell you its an art form.
You dont get punched when you score a goal or deliver a hip check. I like to watch fighting, but it should be fair fighting--not non-fighter vs fighter. and it shouldnt be retaliation for a classic play.

mikebflorida ask anyone :do you think if you hip check a guy --he should get pummeled? thats crazy. next there will be justification for fighting a goalie that made a great save. give me a break --learn the sport--

gauthier injures a player and barch comes over and feeds him some rights then catches him off guard with lefts as he goes to his knees and the linesman come in to save him
