Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Mar 8, 2007 Calgary Flames Robyn Regehr
3pd 19:45 Nashville Predators Jordin Tootoo
Tootoo throws a shot in on Miikka Kiprusoff and is then shoved behind the net by Regehr. Tootoo gives Regehr a shot in return and Regehr and Brad Stuart start shoving him against the boards. Regehr drops his gloves and starts feeding Tootoo rights while Stuart continued to try and get at Tootoo. Tootoo is able to drop his gloves and turn around, throwing a right that misses while Jason Arnott moves in and grabs Stuart. Tootoo then connects with a right that sends Regehr's head banging off the boards. Regehr then falls to the ice with Tootoo getting in a left as they are going down. Tootoo cocks back his right hand, but one of the linesmen are right there to grab Tootoo and send him to the penalty box. Other Penalties: Regehr received an instigator and misconduct; Brad Stuart and Jason Arnott each received a roughing.

Although TooToo landed on top at the end, under closer scrutiny Regehr had the obvious edge for most of the fight.

Take it from someone sitting four rows off the ice...Tootoo won that fight...even double teamed!!! Like it or not he can not only fight but play. There is never a moment when TooToo is on the ice that he isn't giving 110%. He deserves his spot in the NHL and as a season ticket holder the Predator fans love that he is here. And as far as the comment about Nashville not having many fans...wrong again...do a little research before you open your mouth and just look stupid.

Tootoo is the best

It wasn't as close as you would think. Regehr threw two over Tootoo's head. Tootoo commenced to landing two really nice shots that put Regehr down covering up like a momma's boy.

I guess you're right that Tootoo shouldn't be in the NHL. Did you even watch the game? Tootoo's got a spot on my club any day.

Toots did well after being double teamed by 2 larger guys. This boy can back it up. He deserves his job in the NHL... for a little guy, he can throw em. Regher knows how to throw em, but once Toots got loose, Robs was done.

Not that great of a scrap, but with all the cheap tactics used against tootoo this year, it was glad to see Arnott step in to end the 2 on 1. For his size Toots is a heck of a fighter and definately belongs in the NHL. The guy dosen't care to throw hands with guys twice his size, and hits clean. Calgary's players look like a couple of sissys/cowards tag teaming a little guy, even if he is a fighter.

Anyone who calls toots a coward obv. hasn't kept up too well over the last couple seasons.....the word coward is much more fitting for players like avery and sundine.

I absolutely just hate this man... He skates around nailing people with a shield on, wont fight anybody of signifcant fighting skill, and somehow usually gets his team on the powerplay after he starts everything. At least 4 games this year (PREDS VS. BLUES) we lost because of his stupid crap by one goal, because he drew a penalty that he should of been the one in the box.

Every since Tootoo "cleaned Iginla's clock", the lamers have been agitated about Jordan.

Did some of these people actually watch the fight, Regehr threw a few and missed about half, and then tootoo knows that he can't go toe to toe with Regehr so instead of trying to throw a punch, he uses bought hands and pulls Regehr down, then attempts to trow a punch as Regehr is going down, it wasn't much of a fight. Something for the uninformed people, you don't win a fight by pulling someone down, or wrestling. I don't blame tootoo for cowering away from hits, but he then shouldn't be running around the ice taking runs at others, and I find it astonishing that he doesn't get called for charging several times a game for what he does, but such is the incompetence of the league officiating,he fits in the same category as sean avery and jarkko ruutu dirty players.

Tootoo took Regehr down at the end and finally has learned that the fights over when you hit the ice and didnt chuck the bomb he was loading up. I feel that Regehr won the fight while standing regardless of the take down.

Regehr is an underrated fighter - I agree the Tootoo got a little lucky when Robyn went down. Granted he doesn't go a lot, but he hung in there pretty well against Perros this year.

Funny. Toot's gave it to ANOTHER Flame "wanna be" NHL'er. These guy's hate TooToo because he beat up Iggy, when Iggy jumped him 2 years ago.IN CALGARY TO BOOT!!!!hahaha
Toot's is a true Northen boy in gritiness and spirit, and Keep lining up the Flames and he'll take care of them one by one.
And by the way, he's lucky to be 5'6".
