Comments: Greene lines up Eric Perrin with an open-ice hit, but Perrin falls down before Greene can get to him, resulting in Greene's knee clipping Perrin. Tarnasky takes exception to the attemped hit and challenges Greene with the two dropping the gloves at the blueline. They grab ahold of each other and Greene throws a right to start things off. Greene nearly loses his balance, but is able to stay on his feet and land a right. Greene a quick right followed by another that is blocked by Tarnasky. They fall to the ice and Tarnasky is quick to get back up to his feet. He throws off his elbow pad, but Greene is able to pick Tarnasky up and slam him down onto the ice. The linesmen then come in and break things up. Other Penalties: Tarnasky received an instigator and misconduct.

Did someone say that that was a cheapshot by Greene? Are you on crack? Greene was lining Perrin up for a huge hit and Perrin dropped to the ice in fear which is why he got clipped by Greene's knee. I give both Tarnasky and Greene credit here, Tarnasky for standing up for his teammate and Greene for backing up his hit. Too bad it was a crap fight.

Greene was bit better here.
A short scrap, but not bad.
Tarnasky ate one by Greene who lands anojther one but wasnt same galiper as his third attempt(right) got blocked.
Greene took Tarnasky to the ice.
Tarnaksy took over on the ice as Greene was on his knees while Tarnasky was getting up.
Tarnasky seems going for the win but Greene scores a great leg-takedown.
EDGE Greene.

I don't see why Tarnasky received an instigator... when reviewing fight it appears both men throw the gloves at the same time. I'm sure Tarnasky was saying something to Greene, but I didn't think calling someone names, or politely asking them "to go," constituted an instigator.

I agree with tampafan. They mutually agreed to drop the gloves from what I could see. The best part of this fight was early before Greene did his WWF moves. Good fighters don't hug their opponents ankles. Maybe he was afraid of terrible Tarnasky. It was a shame to mar such beautiful, fast ice with amateur antics. Tarnasky did the honorable thing after Greene's cheap shot to Perrin. Maybe Greene will learn to stand up, fight and take his medicine the next time he cheap shots a smaller player.

It wasn't really a "fight". It was more like a scuffle.
